ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - Deputies are investigating after a cleaning crew found human remains near Orange Blossom Trail and Americana Boulevard Wednesday morning, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Officials said the remains were skeletonized and had likely been in the vacant lot for quite some time. A property manager said a crew occasionally comes to the lot to clean it up and that's what they were doing Wednesday when the remains were found.

Sky 6 video of the scene showed crime scene tape in a wooded area near a printing shop in the 4800 block of Orange Blossom Trail.

Oh man. The general location appears to be directly east of the Huntington on the Green complex!

This feels like the closest thing to a lead that this case has had in a long time. Unless there was some kind of identifying evidence near the remains, it'll most likely be a while before they can identify who it is... Either way, I'm hopeful.

Investigators found human remains on a vacant lot off Orange Blossom Trail, deputies said Wednesday.

The body appears to have skeletonized, though deputies wouldn’t say how long the remains have been there.

The lot is off south of Holden Avenue in Orange County.

A lot of people are thinking it's possibly Jennifer Kesse but I tend to agree with you; that area is apparently very crime-ridden with lots of drugs and prostitution

I am. It’s close but not like right there. Orange blossom trail runs alongside a pretty bad part of town.

Skeletal remains found in lot off South Orange Blossom Trail

The company has owned the land for more than 16 years. It said it had hired a cleaning crew to mow the lot every three to four months.

The last time the lot was mowed was in August, the company said.

Someone knowledgable on the Unconcluded podcast group has said that the apopka remains are apparently male but there was no official announcement because there's an ongoing investigation
