What a beautiful sight you had outside for Halloween! I was thinking about Somer tonight and how she should be out trick-or-treating with her brother and sister. :(

Happy Halloween, Somer!

Panthera, this brought tears to my eyes. So many things she will never do. Praying that she's resting in God's loving arms tonight.

I'm not sure if the tanks would have soot or not ~ I was hoping someone else here might know that! I do think it's from the house since it's not anywhere near finished yet and a lot of the burned materials & residue probably would've been there on 10/19. Maybe she just rubbed up against something and it was on her clothes. MOO

I am thinking that as a house burns, soot travels through the air with the smoke from the house fire, so I guess some of it could still be on the tanks, houses on either side of the burned house, across the street in the park, almost anywhere around there.

Bottom line is, we are all individuals, with our own beliefs and opinions.

The beauty with Websleuths is we get to toss out our views, hear other's views, and make our own decisions about what we believe.

If you have a differing position on a subject than someone else, that is fine.

Just keep in mind the common goal of this thread is finding justice for Somer.

I take it you are somewhat lost for words.... ??

:woohoo:

Yes, I couldn't find one of these:

Respectfully, Mom you wouldn't catch me dead hanging out with people pretending to take up the rear, Halloween party or not. it is important to know your audience before making a blanket statement like that. That is trashy and classless in my opinion. It is her pergotative what she does, when and how. I don't hang out with classless rear ends - please don't group me with having my children around people that display that type of behavior. Money is not even an issue - some of the poorest people I know have more class than some of the wealthiest people I know. So, this is not an economic issue IMO. I am not June Cleaver either but I like to abide by a simple moral compass - something missing in this country. I might be a little more sypathetic to the situation with mom having a stable family life. Not saying this is her fault, but in her situation you need to be more vigilant. Heck, in this day and age EVERYONE has to be vigilant.

This is a perfect example of Maslow's Hierarchy. Food, Sex and breathing ETC being the lowest on the chain. Once these things are acheived you can go on to saftey of your family etc etc..Yes, it is right there on the chart. This story it seems she is on the lowest level of Maslows heirarchy. I am sure it has flucuated up and down but by no means secure over a period of time. Please don't ask me to explain this unless you take the time to read about it.

Read about Maslow to get a beter understanding:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maslow's_hierarchy_of_needs

No doubt about it IMO class has nothing to do with money....those that don't agree are the ones still busy trying to keep up with the Jones'.

This whole argument back and forth about DT's indirect involvement kind of reminds me of when a mother always asking before her kids leave the house if they have on clean underwear incase they get in an accident. KWIM?

People with class REALIZE that at any given moment the entire world could be their audience.

In today's day and age it's also good to keep in mind web addresses begin with W-W-W = World Wide Web....and oh what a web some weave.

As for Maslow....tho I am not familiar I can understand his theroy.

As for me....Life is about with choices and consequences. IF we are lucky enough to have been taught & to grasp that simple lesson as children, we realize it's also a "thread" to consider when making choices that inevitably weave thru our lives as adults.

Tarabull.

Happy Halloween, Somer!

Me too panthera, thinking about the fun Somer would have had. I'm sad for all children as well.

Awwwww!!!! The beatings will now begin!! lolol. Quoting myself to correct. The Levi Page show with Tim Miller as a guest is tomorrow night (Mon) at 10:00pm. I goofed, my apologies.

Tomorrow is Sunday

I don't know but in 8 months and rain, I think the soot would only be in and maybe some of the outside of the house or any piece of burnt debry
from the house in garbage bin?

OK - color me stupid... I don't understand the puzzle post... can someone puleeezzzeee help me understand? It's been a loooong day....

Happy Halloween to you as well! I've noticed a marked decrease in the number of trick or treaters this year. It's sad. This should be a time of the year for kids to have fun.

No joke! We had a beautiful orb weaver spider make a web at the front of our home. We discovered it today when we came home. It was magnificent. And it's web was positioned right by the full moon. We showed the spider to the people who came to our door, and they were amazed.

Spider webs are such great photo ops....hope you got a pic

DELETED my post because I was in the wrong state and being stupid.

Well shuckie-darn... I missed it... and arent' we all in the wrong state and stoopid some times. It's all that hovering around this thread...!! LOL

It's nice to know we can all agree to disagree and bring all of our sleuthing skills together. I learn a lot from everyone here -- agree or disagree... it's a learning experience. Some days it's just a test on patience, and other days it is fascinating at the things we can find out without the media, or LE telling us things.

FYI, I'm VERY familiar with Maslow - did undergrad research on him and then taught his theories in grad school to undergraduates. He's right on target, IMO.

NSC, you bring up alot of good points. I agree 100%. When it comes to your kids, you need to circle the wagons and protect them, not leave it wide open and increase the chances that your kids will fall into the hands of some sort of predator - whether they are murdered, abused, whatever.

When I look at Haleigh, Somer, and Caylee - and the parents' lifestyles and friends - I don't think those girls stood a chance. If it wasn't a parent or caregiver, it was just a matter of time before something happened to them. Of course, that's just my opinion but - there ya go...

I so agree with this beimom.... I was so over protective of my children and now I preach and preach to my children about their children. I tried working when my children were 4 and 2 but gave that up fast. I wouldn't let me children stay at friends houses over night or even go to houses.. they came to ours..

Since you researched and taught Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs - please explain to me why mom Diena is at the level of 'survival'...the level of breathing, excretion, and eating. I'm at a loss on that one! TIA

I'll give a try - bear with me! Here goes several years worth of study into one paragraph:

According to Maslow, sex is included in the first level along with food, shelter, etc. Unlike some other theories (such as Freud), Maslow focused on what needs needed to be met to make a psychologically *healthy* person who is then able to become self-actualized. Just like with Erikson’s theories, if you take someone who displays some mental illness or neurosis or personality disorder or any other signs of being psychologically unhealthy or even psychologically immature, then you can still look at Maslow and Erikson and know something went wrong somewhere along the way with their basic psychological/emotional development. From their behavior or emotions, you can often tell at what “stage” they are stuck. If someone is displaying unhealthy sexual behavior, particularly in such a way that they need to engage in sexual acts – real or pretend – in front of other people, then it’s possible that they got derailed (so to speak) in a couple of stages due to some negative life experiences.

I think what NSC is saying is that a parent’s unhealthy behavior can then lead to an unsafe environment for the children in that family. And I think that’s something we can all agree upon. If a parent is engaging in activities that open the doors for unsavory people to have access to their children, then the family is obviously at risk.

Hope this helps explain it some… Off to bed now! Happy Halloween to everyone… :)

I have comfort knowing she'll never need an 'angel' costume because now she is one of His special angels. :)

*****Respectfully Snipped***** No need to repeat*****

I really think I am not going to say anymore about this other then I am glad the funeral dress has not been mentioned.

A nice silk scarf in matching colors of purple would have been appropriate and taken care of the cleavage. It was noticeable, but so was the white top with a black bra.

I think 'most' people look in the mirrow after they get dressed, and when in doubt-- don't. But-- what can I say... when the media is present and going live on the air on national television a whole lotta eyes are watching and a whole lotta people have first impressions.
