This lawsuit really gives me hope the cops are onto someone in that crew.
 
I haven't caught up here in quite a while, but are we talking about the construction folks that worked on Somer's house? I posted this back in November after seeing the "roofing" sign in her yard - could the company at Gano with the RSO have also worked on her house (or shared workers)?:

I have a quick question and apologize if this has been gone-over before (I don't know how to search all the threads together). Was "S**** Roofing" used at just Somer's house, or at the burned out house too? Am just curious since their sign is posted at the H***** house on google maps. Thanks!

Even now I still hold the feeling that she went with (or played hide & seek with, then got kidnapped) someone she knew, an older person. Could it have been a construction worker on her house who then "befriended" her at the Gano house when she walked by every day?

My guess is that they are awaiting more forensics -- and in the meantime tracking down all leads coming in -- IMO< they just buried themselves with this lawsuit

Do you remember the name of the roofing company? Maybe George Vinson works for them or kyle or maybe one of them own it.

Or maybe one of them simply offered her a ride home.
 
Trying to make sense of all this. I was wrong about the reporter error; the courthouse story accurately reports the complaint. But I can't make sense of the complaint. I don't see any reporting of Vinson's company working on the Thompson home. Have I missed something? Or is the complaint itself in error?

Also re: the roofing contractor--I ran across a post on an earlier thread with a link to a pic that indicates roofer worked on the next door neighbor's house, not Thompson's.

That was the only renovation-related item that came to my head. So it was the neighbor's house that got the new roof. So not roofing.

The Gano house is undergoing major renovations. I wonder whether VD&B would take on small projects ... if they were friends or friends of friends?

Their website seems to indicate bigger projects.

If the complaint is in error, then Vinson is going to have an even harder time getting some money.

Because of his complaint, now the public thinks that they did work on the Thompson house. Crazy .

That's exactly what I was wondering. Plus it seemed like such a long time to get it done, if it is even done yet.

Does anyone know the cause of the fire?
 
Seems to me the only way to possibly determine whether any renovation had been done on Thompson house would be to go look at building permits--public record, but not online as far as I can tell. Thought maybe there would be an indication on property appraiser site, but saw nothing on either Gano or Thompson house, and I'm pretty sure they'd have pulled permits for the Gano house.

Never have found any reporting on the Gano fire, though I've looked repeatedly, going back at least a year.
 
Wouldn't be surprised if complaint contains errors, as it also asserts that video was taken on company property, and from Duval County Property Appraiser, it doesn't appear that the company owns any property at that location. Common areas (and I'm assuming that would include the parking lot where video appears to be shot from) are owned by the Brierwood Office Park Owners Assoc. per Duval County Property Appraiser.

Ok, that just freaked me as I was typing it--didn't somebody have a vision or dream or something that included Brierwood???
 
I think it was Infinity's vision that included Briarwood (or Brierwood).

Wow. I'm not one to put a lot of stock in things like that, and I'd like to believe that it's just a real common name in that area but rereading that post in this context just gave me the willies. Think I'm gonna call it a night . . .
 
If Kyle is young, maybe he did work around the area for several different companies.

I could see a young guy taking work with a roofing company, a construction company, a plumber... KWIM

That would be a way for a young guy to make some extra cash and a way for the companies to hire cheap labor. IMO

So, could Kyle have worked on the roofing project at the T home then worked on renovations at Gano? I think so.
 
My theories as to why we don't know Kyle's last name

1) LE wants him close to them for info and is keeping him away from media so Kyle doesn't say something that would screw up the investigation - could the original news reporter (Ryan Hughes) have been put under a gag order in regards to Kyle's last name? or i guess maybe he never got it.
2) Kyle is a minor
3) Kyle is not a legal US citizen

I hesistate from saying Kyle is an alias b/c MommaD (am i correct?) said she confirmed Kyle is Kyle.
Was she also able to confirm he was not a minor?

I have always thought that Somer met up her killer at the Gano house. And I always felt that James Vinson seemed to be hiding something when he was interviewed. Either nervous about George, or maybe something as simple as he hires illegal immigrants and is worried he's going ot be found out - (a fear completely unrelated to Somer's death, however somethign that would negatively impact his business if discovered by LE).

Just my thoughts...
Off to my ponderings and lightbulb moments.

It was like a reporter interviewed Kyle and then POOF it was over.

No follow up, no last name.

IMO LE may be watching him or he is a witness to something.

That's what I was thinking too.He is a suspect or witnessed something.If I read it right he said Somer went to the back of the house?He never said she went back out or left?or which way she went?I feel what ever happened started in the back at the house on Gano.He also said she talked to him and his crew members?That tells me someone else was there or left before something happened.
