Does anyone really think JHarrell actually lived in a shed? Maybe he hung out there, but LIVE? Can you put a sink, shower, etc. in one? I know he's described as a loner but really this makes no sense to me. Is it legal? It seems cruel. moo
 
I am so glad the extradition is taking place today! One article mentioned a Wednesday court appearance so LE is not fooling around.

I am hoping the trip will be a safe one for LE!
 
ITA with Angeleena's post. There are very specific reasons for not charging him yet or calling him a suspect. They'll give him one last chance in Florida, but I'm sure they have the evidence to put him away. Still , theres nothing like a complete and total confession to close things up ;)

HUMAN I also saw the article you were talking about where it said Harrell would not talk to police or something to that effect! You are NOT crazy.
 
Woohoo!!!! He's on his way back?!?!?!? I'm so glad. I can hear those squeaky ole wheels of justice beginning to turn.

Praying this will mean justice for Somer and her family.

You know I thought about that too, his parents wanted him out for some reason, I wonder how happy there were to have him back after the roommates kicked him out. still I can't see them making him live in the shed. Maybe they didn't want him in the house and he had to sleep out there? I spend summer weekends at a trailer park resort and some have beds in their sheds for extra company and kids. I have no idea how much room the radio equipment would take up, anyone?

I'm going to consider that information hearsay - I think it came from the neighbors. Seems tv here in the Chicago area is filled wtih Drew Peterson and the upcoming judgement on hearsay - it's my word for the week! lol

not commenting in whole here but what you first said...
They say they can't believe their relative would be capable of murdering anyone. well I mean anyone with a family member mixed up in a case such as this would say that! I mean would they say " oh yeah thats not surprising?" wonder what ted bundys family thought? or joseph edward duncans family. or even susan smiths family? no one really knows what a family member is capable of doing... geeeeze his aunt must be a real piece of work tooo. I mean comon, he was seen with or known to have child *advertiser censored* as a teenager... not just curiousity as far as I am concerned it appears that this was a monster in the making early on. if he was responsible for what happened to somer and this being his first time. well who knows what could of happened to other kids later on down the road? and just how many might have fallen victims. if you wanna see how sick a person can get do some research on joseph edward duncan and look at his history, even though most of his victims were boys, a few were young girls as well, boys as his preference, girls as a moment of oppertunity...
 
I just can't help but to think that if le hadn't of made such a show about the " book bag " if that might have been found and linked to JH? I mean they made such a stir about... had they just remained idle on that issue it might have shown up in some of JH stuff somewhere.. but since alot of media was brought up about it he could have gotten rid of it.... wonder if they have used scent article dogs at 1152 gano to see if the dogs could make a hit on her being there. or even the shed? anyone know if le plan on bringing that to florida? is it in miss?

Whoooaaa! WHAT YOU HAVE HIGHLIGHTED IN BLUE IS NOT WHAT I SAID! The entire comment is a quote except for the very last sentence that I wrote about aunt Mizelle. Bolded! I agree - never saw a family admit to seeing the monster they may have created or even admit their family member is guilty. As for his childhood, I'm always in a dilemma regarding young pedophiles - usually their childhood has been dysfunctional, chaotic, and filled with abuse. I have no problem admitting my empathy for some perps, but I have more empathy for the child victim who is an emblem of innocence, love, and childhood dreams. I have always had a difficult time showing empathy for both...it truly affects any research and/or thinking I may be involved with.

ETA 2: One thing I know for sure is that minimizing and focusing on the parents when their child is responsible does not bring justice for the child victim. Somer deserves justice and if the pedophile/murderer who did this isn't caught - justice evaporates! I'm not willing to collude with mom and dad!

You're right - JH had *advertiser censored* early on and it was passed off as a 'passing phase'. We can only imagine what else was ignored and what he saw and experienced as a child. That's why I asked about his living in a shed - and IMO, his aunt referring to him as the Pillsbury dough boy is condescending, pejorative, and hurtful to a person of any age. MOO

We have been told by our mod to NOT discuss his family - so I think we are all trying to adhere to the request - it is getting more difficult as we go along. MOO

The shed is in Fl at the moms new home.

Personally, I wonder how many children would be alive today if social services did do their jobs and LE as well.

Criticize if you want, but look at the facts in some cases, like Jaycee Lee Dugard , for example. I think this is going to turn out to be true in this case as well.

I hope it doesn't but you might be right. It is such a high profile they will not be able to cover up any mistakes if they tried to. If there were mistakes made it will come out.

I updated the timeline but had run out of editing time on the last post, so I've posted it here.
