Poor Stepha. Looks like what a lot of people say, including Montel, that if this were a white women she'd be getting wall to wall coverage. No one has posted here since she was on Montel.

They basically said Stepha went to a club with the friend of a friend and then that friend said he left without her. There were no cameras at the exit or parking lot. Stepha's mom had done a lot of work on her own by handing out fliers and going to meet many people personally.

If you have any info or know anyone who does call 1-800-THE-LOST.

I know South FLA news have covered Stepha's disappearance. I think that the news needs to cover missing cases at least once a week. The media tend to get caught up with all the celebrity crap.... that was one of the biggest things- Paris Hilton went to jail right around the time that Stepha went missing. Stepha was supposed to be featured on MSNBC and they preempted her due to Paris Hilton going to jail. It just shows you where the priorities are.

I don't know about anyone else but I really could care less about Paris Hilton and her messed up life or any of the rest of these messed up celebritys. I do wish everyone would leave Brittney Spears alone and that she would get her life together. I care because of her babies and I think she has the New Baby Blues as we used to call it...but she doesn't know it. I wish she would talk to Brooke.

I think someone should get that kid that gave Stepha a ride that night and give him a good scare so that he will start talking. I think he has the answer to all of our and LE questions about where Stepha is and what happened to her.

This is the first that I have heard of this case. I was sickened to see that there was barely anything out there when I went to research, just a handful of articles that all said the same thing. The poor mother broke my heart, giving up her life to search for her missing daughter and getting no support from the media just heartbreaking. Is there a way to strike up interest in this case, perhaps write letters to the media as I have seen done in other cases? I just feel like we need to help this poor mother and get her some support and help finding her baby.

The gentleman that she went to the club with, interesting, any way of finding out this guys name? he borrowed the car from a friend of a friend? Can he not give LE that friend's name? I myself do not let random people just borrow my car. How can this guy not know where the car is? I would remember returning the vehicle. Is there any way to get more information on this car? It seems obvious to me where the focus of this investigation should be

once again, these are the details (released to the public) in the Stepha Henry case...

-Stepha travels to Florida with her sister for vacation, stays with family members

-one night at about 1 AM a friend of a friend picks her up and takes her to a club

-she was seen at the club so she made it there

-the friend of a friend did not own the car he picked up Stepha in. he does not know who gave him the car.

-at some point in the club, Stepha and the friend of a friend separated.

-the friend of a friend left the club without the car. he does not know what happened to the car or who drove it out of there.

-stepha was seen getting into the car with some people.

-she checked her voice mail at like 4:00 AM.

-stepha has never been seen again and neither has the car.

THIS MAKES NO SENSE. Let's recap

-friend of a friend doesn't know how he got the car to begin with, it wasn't his and he doesn't know who gave it to him. i suppose he saw an empty car with the keys in the ignition and decided to take it for a joyride?

-they separated in the club. fine that's the only thing that's believable.

-he leaves without the car which he doesn't own but was driving. he doesn't know who has the car. so I suppose he just put the car keys on a table in the bar with a note on where the car was located in the parking lot? perhaps he just closed his eyes and handed the keys to someone and just left?

-he had zero information on where the car was after that night.

uh huh. i also read the cops cleared him as a suspect. THIS MAKES NO SENSE. i can only hope the "friend of a friend" cut the BS and told the truth to the cops. maybe then he could be cleared as a suspect.

Crimes in, around suburban clubs challenge police

Three of the fatal shootings, including Burrowes', occurred in the Peppers parking lot. The Caribbean restaurant and nightclub was also the last place that Stepha Henry, a recent college graduate from New York, was seen before she disappeared over Memorial Day weekend.

Sounds like there is a lot of crime in that area. It makes Stepha's case seem even more wide open. Anything could have happend to that poor girl.

Yeah, Enrique, it's total BS this "friend of a friend" borrowed a car then has no idea where it is. WHO did he borrow the car from??? Is LE down there so stupid they can't even follow up on this??

It's been over a month with no posts here so any update??

IMO this is another case where you can't believe most of what you read.
It doesn't make any sense.
I don't think LE is stupid at all. I do think the reporters are in that they don't dig to get the accurate story. They are lazy.

Thank you for posting that. You must be right about the reporters because, the story we are being given makes no sense and, LE cannot be that dumb!

That doesn't make any sense. Why would reporters get every other story mostly right and not this one?? Even AMW covered it and they basically said the same thing. AMW isn't lazy or innacurate and the story still makes no sense.

Maybe LE is really dropping the ball in this case. It wouldn't be the first time.

Unless you are a news reporter and you are the one getting the facts for a story, there would be no way of knowing what's accurate and what isn't.
We all have a "hope" that when we read or hear the news it is true and unbiased, based on fact.

In this case, the facts are so vague that anyone reading about it would conclude that something big is missing in the story.
The car, for example .... we all know the car had to belong to someone.
Even if it was stolen, it still has an owner.

So according to the story, Stepha gets into the car of a friend who doesn't own the car but borrowed it from a friend who just so happened to borrow it from someone else.
To me it doesn't matter if 10 other people passed this one car around, it still belongs to someone.
Who? And who drove it away from the Club? Who did he give the keys to?
What's his/her name? etc .... etc ....

:(

It is hard to believe that no one knows anymore about Stepha's disappearence then they did when she first went missing. That friend who took Stepha to the club darn well knows who he got that car from. The person that he got the car from knows who it belongs to or where he got it from. Anyone who would swallow the friend's story is pretty dense. If I were in LE the friend would be on my list as a suspect. His story is total bs. I wonder if he took a poly? I also wonder if the friend is the one who said that Stepha got into the car with some other people? If he is the one who said it then it is probably total bs too. Why would she take off with strangers?

I agree that if they could find the car they could probably solve this case. For all LE know...Stepha could be in that car in a body of water somewhere.

Has this ever been featured on CNN or any large news networks?

It was a featured story on MSNBC for over a week. They talked about it in every news hour over one weekend and Dan Abrams did a segment on it as well.

She was also featured on Montel Williams along with Jennifer Kesse and Samantha Eisenberg (sp)

Montel has lost a lot of credibility since he has that TOTAL fraud and liar Syliva Brown on regularly. She is the looney who said Shawn Hornbeck was dead and taken by a Hispanic man but as we all know of the "Missouri Miracle" Shawn was found alive and well 4 YEARS LATER!

Some people in the media have criticized him having her but he's too stubborn to change.

It has been nearly seven months since Stepha Henry disappeared during a visit to Florida with her young sister.

In that time, Henry's family has eschewed summer barbecues, observed her 23rd birthday in September with prayer and gathered for a sad Thanksgiving dinner.

"We were all in tears," Sylvia Henry, Stepha's mother, recalled of the dinner at the family's home in the East New York section of Brooklyn. "It wasn't the same."

Now the Henrys are preparing for their first Christmas without the John Jay College honors graduate. Her unsolved disappearance has cast a pall over the family's plans.

"This Christmas won't be much of a Christmas," said Steve Henry, Stepha's father.

I have to say I never heard of someone getting a car and not knowing where it came from. Also, if the friend of a friend did not drive the car out of there who did he give the keys to?

In the recap I quoted it says that Stepha is last seen getting into the car with some people. Have any of these people been IDed?

I read on the CharleyProject that a security camera has Stepha going into the club. I wonder if the same camera has her leaving, if so with who? Maybe if they can not ID any of the people leaving with her they should release the footage (if they have it) and someone may be able to ID at least one of them.

You would think that if they have a video of her going in then there must be one of her going out. The one of her leaving should have other people in it if she left with three or so others. Yes, they should put the video on the internet and on news programs. I would just love to know what that friend of a friend has had to say. That car came from somewhere. This case is really frustrating because it doesn't seem that LE has gotten anywhere. Are they even still on the case?
