''Tyler Jefferson came to Pensacola just for a few months in 2009. She came here as a new sailor from U.S. Navy basic training to study computers at Corry Station and serve her country. She left Pensacola in a casket.
She was murdered while out on a jog on Nov. 12, 2009, just months after graduating from high school. The killer or killers have never been found.''
If you have any information on the death of Tyler Jefferson or any other unsolved crime, please contact Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-433-STOP, or call toll-free 877-433-TIPS. Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers works with local law enforcement agencies to help solve crimes. All calls and tips are anonymous.''

''18-year-old Tyler Jefferson was stationed at Corry Field when her life was taken.''

''It happened on November 12, 2009. Jefferson was found with multiple gunshot wounds in front of 501 N. 49th Street.
''Her family says she was making a quick trip to the store and jogging back to base, but she never made it home.''

''Jefferson had only been at Corry Station four months before her death. She just finished training and was preparing to be deployed.
"She was very proud to be serving her country," StMary said. "She was excited. She was going to be a lifer. She wanted to go to Japan."

  • released by the Escambia County, Fla., Sheriff's Office shows a man wanted as a "person of interest" in the November shooting death of a Navy seaman in Pensacola, Fla.1720790249847.png

Because her murder occurred off base, it becomes a case in the jurisdiction of the Escambia County Sheriff or Pensacola Police.

The suspect sketch would appear that her killer was NOT military.

He was likely a local, and probably a repeat offender.

''PENSACOLA, Fla. -- The Escambia County Sheriff's Office has released a photo in an attempt to find a man they have been seeking since last week for information in the Nov. 12 murder of a Navy sailor.''

''Sheriff's investigator Curtis Cephas said deputies are looking for a black man with a beard and mustache who may have information about the death of Tyler Jefferson, the Pensacola News Journal reports. He is described as thin -- about 155 pounds -- and is 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall. The man was last seen wearing a white baseball cap, denim shorts and a white T-shirt.''

2009 murder and just now finding/releasing photos. I am really hoping the can solve this.
