Volusia County Sheriff’s investigators have tentatively identified the victim whose skeletal remains were found Thursday morning in a wooded area of Deltona. Based on jewelry and other items recovered from the scene, the victim is believed to be a 58-year-old man whose last known permanent address was in DeLand. However, the man was thought to be homeless when deputies encountered him in Deltona back in April.

Thanks for the update, MG. I had a feeling they were going to find out he was homeless, sadly. :(

The MSM links are gone but everybody seems to agree that this decedent was identified as Carl Lynn Cappabianca, 58 who hadn't been reported missing. He had been estranged from his wife. The police got the lead about him because he had a ring with a US Marines insignia and someone at the Veteran Services remembered him.
