this might sound silly but i was looking on the google map and i noticed there is a huge looks like metal as oppose to a wooden roller coaster in myrtle beach. not sure how close to the hotels it is.

wait. That is the new bridge which I don't think would be considered a cantalever (whatever it was called). The picture I found was of the old cooper river bridge which was at the time a cantalever (whatever she called it) bridge.

I've been looking at similar satellite maps, including the Waccamaw R. and Pawleys Island. Someone native to or familiar with the area is our candidate it would seem.
The Georgetown Steel Mill was the first thing that came to my mind when I read that. Is the steel mill still in operation or now closed? Gosh I drove by it a few months ago but can't remember. Some sleuth I am LOL! Heading south on Hwy 17 the steel mill is on the left side of the road (east) and IIRC there is a large concrete operation a little further down on the right (west). Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Which was it, last in G'town or Charleston? Did it ping down in Charleston and then back up in G'town?
