He seem very quiet, he didn't speak to anyone, he kind of just stood at the bar and watched. There aren't any missing women in Opelousas that I am aware of, but I have family in law enforcement and I can definitely check it out. Odd think is that my little sis pointed him out to me in the bar and said he was kind of creepy. I just pray for her family, it's going to be tough but at least now they can begin to grieve.
 
Do you guys think the funeral will be open to the public? If so, I would like to attend, if not I will just call up Roy al and get the "family" discount.

Only God knows our heart. Maybe this is Mickey's legacy. Are we all ready to meet our Savior?

Delete if, if you must. I totally understand, but I just have to believe this child's life has to have far more destiny when she left this earth than when she left here. I have to believe that we have not even begun to see the power of what Mickey can do!
 
I feel like having been here for so long I have to add something here, even though I really have nothing to add. Heartbroken isnt a strong enough word. "Ton of bricks" was pretty good.


Rest in Peace Mickey. You have touched the hearts of so many around the world. We love you even though we have never met you and we will always we praying for you. We will never forget you. God bless Mickey Shunick and the entire Shunick family and friends.

Well put, Steve.

I fear finding out what happened between the Circle K and Mickey's temporary resting place. What I fear knowing, she actually endured.

Every detail we learn seems more awful than the last.


She still has a story to tell and I think she fought for the chance to tell it.

We'll all be listening. She's become our Sweet Girl, too, in a way.

Her journey's almost over.

Thanx for the reply, Ladydeadpool. Your little sis is very aware and in tune with her instincts. She could see past BSL's mask of normalcy.

We are all praying for the Schunick family. They will be needing our prayers and support. Sadly this will never replace the void left in their life, but I am confident that they will go on to make some very positive contributions for other missing/murdered person families, as so many have before.
Many lessons have been learned from their tragedy.

BS Lavergne, was not the first, last, or only...
 
If IRC BSL's name was blacked out on the JPSO report.... Could it be that he didn't give his correct name?
 
Yes, just like in my signature that I have had for over a year, The Band Perry's song "If I Die Young" has been my source of comfort in following these terrible cases that usually end in a young person's demise. It hurts me to the core that this cycle continues. Rest in peace sweet Mickey.

It's so important that we stand for each other.

Even if all we can offer is to bear witness.

In some small way it validates whatever has happened, whatever fear and pain they bore alone.

When I saw his mugshot on tv I was chilled to the bone, because I would see him there quite often. I'm sorry. It must be really weird. It's very scary to think how closely we pass such creatures and never know. I'm glad you & your sister are safe.

My heart is broken tonight, but it makes me smile to imagine that sweet Mickey is in heaven helping St. Francis take care of the precious creatures that I have personally known and loved. Thank you Cheewawa007 for that. <3
