They (all govt) are giving schzophrenic messages city still closed, world travel stuff , and 187 leaders are hanging out over there next week

its kind like playing on a trampilin on a creaky floor

makes no sense, IMO, whatsoever... and leaders should know more than us lay people about how much these "events" impact everything in the free world.

Being definant in this sense seems stupid, we have all just learned how terrorist oriented Belgium is -- why go near the place.

Kinda think more than anything , now, in this climate, terrorists would love to disrupt this conferance more than anything ---

That was hilarious, thought it was a SNL skit, thanks for the chuckle!

It might be a bad idea, but what if you repeated warned your neighbor (who is breaking the law with the trespass), and what if you're not breaking any laws when you do it?

In this case Turkey has one of the strongest militaries in the world on its side.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Russia should just let it go and stay out of Turkey's air space.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/20...ing-turkmen-and-economic-dependence-on-russia

Ottoman Turkey and tsarist Russia fought a war in 1877-78. And Stalin briefly laid claim to parts of eastern Turkey at the end of the second world war. But ties have improved in recent times, with a series of energy and trade deals. Russia is now Turkey’s second-largest trading partner and 60% of its natural gas comes from Russia.

Economic dependence is one powerful reason, among several, why Erdoğan will not want this latest border incident to escalate into a wider confrontation – although this is something that may not be entirely within his control.

"A teenager who became a 'poster girl' for the so-called Islamic State has reportedly been murdered for trying flee the terrorist group in Syria.

Samra Kesinovic, who fled her native Austria last year to join the jihadis, was killed with a hammer for trying to escape, Austrian media reported.

According to newspaper Österreich, she was murdered with a hammer when she tried to flee Raqqa, the IS capital.

________

Silly girl. So young. Sad.

She fled with her friend. Who died also. But what made it even sadder was the girls' families were refugees themselves from Bosnia. At the height of the conflicts there years back.

Even when enlarged for us old WS'S cant read - can someone summarize this!!

A magnifying glass helps and should be a part of everyone's survival pack.. If not foe viewing small print. It's uses are numerous. Including signalling (use as flashlight in sunlight...no good at night tho I hasten to add) and good for setting fires (with use of sunlight... so when yr wet cold n bloody freezing.. you got it. .. USE MATCHES! ) 😂

yeh - there was a video when they were rummaging ............it was gross...and talking really hysterical and agiated

I appreciate that by the looks of them. Water for washing is in short supply. But reacting like that over that poor soul. Was definitely not right.

Just saw that discussed on Fox. Apparently Putin worked out a pipeline deal with Turkey a few days ago and he thought things were okay which made him even more shocked when they shot down a plane.

Also this video explains that the pilots of the jet fighters are supposed to warn the other plane directly before firing, they pace along side/intercept the intruding plane and don't just rely on radio messages. In this case the Russian pilot says they fired without the usual warning maneuvers.
