"The case highlights the systematic grooming of potential ISIS recruits through daily social media exchanges and follow-up on the ground for travel arrangements — in her case an enveloped stuffed with cash for a plane ticket to Turkey, handed to her by a veiled woman in her home district of Karak in central Jordan.

The woman, jobless since earning a BA in psychology in 2011, said ISIS recruiters exploited her vulnerability.
'A new life'

"They used my frustration ... promising me a new life with a job and a house," she said in a phone conversation with Dalaeen after her return to Jordan last month."

"The woman said that 14 months ago she was befriended on Facebook by a woman from Raqqa, the unofficial capital of the Islamic State group's caliphate in Syria. They talked about religion and ISIS. Other ISIS supporters also contacted her.

Over the next few months, "they started sending me more than 200 videos full of killing and slaughtering," she said. "Finally, I started enjoying [seeing] the killing."

She said she received more than 500 messages urging her to travel to join ISIS. Recruiters also asked her "to kill my father or even my brother because they are infidels and soldiers in the Jordanian security forces," she said.

Eventually, her contacts arranged a meeting in Karak with a veiled woman who spoke with a Jordanian accent and handed her an envelope with 350 dinars, about $680, for travel expenses, she said".

I have never heard they are trafficking in Moslem girls. According to Sharia law Muslims/Jews/Christians cannot be turned into slaves or sold/trafficked.

They do push hard to get new female recruits married though, they were offering a salary to all wives married to fighters, and they were trying to get the female recruits to choose husbands before they arrived.

It seems the group gets crazier all of the time but at least a little while ago the focus was on marriage/baby production.

That's the whole problem, ISIS followers don't really follow many of the real rules for their Religion or common sense. I guess they figure the ends justify any means they want.

I felt very safe on the train in Brussels today.Had a escort of 6 armed police officers and at the hotel in central there is a Belgian army tank out front and 2 armed soldiers.No pics because they did not allow it.We were going to stay at Brussels south but thought it might be unsafe.Our room has 2 doors to get in. The lower pic in this article had 4 or 5 armored trucks in front of our hotel during the high alert 2 weeks ago.A lot of people out and all the Christmas markets open.

I'm glad to see that Belgian authorities are taking precautions & treating the situation seriously. Here is the US we are so politically correct that we refuse to see & accept that we have enemies in our midst. The politically correct crowd is endangering all of us. But so be it, because we're so darn anxious to be politically correct & embrace everyone. Maybe another 9/11 will open some eyes. I hope that doesn't happen but I wouldn't bet any money on it. Ignoring a problem has never made people safe. Ask the Jews of the WWII era.

Meant to say that the approach used to entice the women and girls to isis, is not unlike the grooming of vulnerable females into prostitution by pimps.imo.

That is only because handguns are more common. Shotguns are actually MUCH more lethal, one blast of buckshot is basically the equivalent of getting shot several times with a handgun or even an AR.

The Washington Navy Yard shooting involved a shotgun, that left 12 dead and 3 injured. Compare that to the San Bernardino AR shooting that left 13 dead and 20+ injured.

I am currently replacing the home defense AR with a shotgun for that reason, I feel better knowing I would only have to hit the target ONCE rather than several times.
