Lutfia Zbad, a 52-year-old divorced mother of three, went missing on October 8 while she was traveling with her daughter in the French capital.

Zbad, from the Arab city of Baqa al-Gharbiya in northern Israel, was with her daughter Yasmin near a McDonald’s in Paris’s famous Champs Elysees boulevard when she suddenly disappeared.

She suffers from schizophrenia, a psychosis in which a person cannot differentiate reality from imagination.

Seems there's verification she had been hospitalized but released and is still missing.

What has become of Lutfia, this Israeli woman who has been missing on the Champs-Élysées since October?

Hospitalized in Cochin under the name of her ex-husband
As of October 9, the date of the disappearance of the forties by his family, a research sheet was sent to all the hospitals and police stations in the capital and its immediate suburbs. An initiative that could have paid off two days later. On October 11, Lutfia was indeed hospitalized at Cochin Hospital (XIVth arrondissement).

Unfortunately, no reconciliation with the missing person was made by the nursing staff. In the meantime, the patient flew away again. "The hospital had registered her under the name of her ex-husband, Kardan, because she had an old passport on her, which we did not know," explains Rasem. "Lutfia, who also sometimes calls herself Rauda, left the hospital without being asked anything, and she left her passport there," he says.

It was finally on 7 March that a Samu Social team found Lutfia. "She was a person known to our teams. That evening, she gave her real identity. The team checked with the missing persons reports and realised that it was indeed this woman," a member of the Samu social told Le Parisien. Luckily, the man in question spoke Arabic, the only language understood by the 50-year-old. Her family has since come to take her back to Israel.
