A pregnant woman out walking with her dog in a forest have been mauled to death, and the police are DNA-testing 67 dogs to find out which ones were involved in the attack. Elisa Pilarski had called her partner that she had come across "threatening dogs" and her partner found her dead 45 minutes later. There were a hunt with hounds in the forest at the same time she was out walking, and her partner saw a pack of about 30 hounds near the ravine where Elisa was found. so does that mean her partner lied to police? or he was just mistaken?
What I got out of the linked article was that she told her partner she was having trouble keeping his dog under control (“keeping him on the leash”) after encountering a pack of dogs - my conclusion is that he got aggressive towards the other dogs, and probably took it out on her as she tried to control him. Her partner, who no doubt loves his dog, probably had a hard time believing his dog could be responsible, and concluded the other dogs attacked her instead.
