You all KNOW they are not his, they were his friends, he was just holding them.

And the mom & sis were bird-watching at the marsh when the gun accidentally fell into the pond.

What gun, my client never owned a gun!

:floorlaugh:

So the boys, whose friends and family think the world of them and claim their innocence, are still in jail? Those friends who believe so steadfastly in them didn't take up a collection at church to bail them out of these wrongful charges? I didn't think so.

BRUNSWICK - The city will pay double for one commission seat once the governor appoints an interim replacement for suspended Mayor Pro Tem James Henry Brooks.
Brooks, who has been indicted on racketeering and violating oath of office charges, was suspended by Gov. Nathan Deal last month but will continue to be paid.

IMO, sounds like the younger boy, DL, sang loud and clear.

I wonder if law enforcement is looking to see if this was a "gang killing." If so, there would be more charges against DE and maybe DL, too.

His mother, Karimah Elkins, and aunt are charged with making false statements to police, the indictment says, by providing him with phony alibis for the time of the shooting. His mother and sister, Sabrina Elkins, are charged with tampering with evidence for throwing into a pond the .22-caliber revolver that police say was used to kill Antonio.

wonder if that means balistics have come back positively IDing the .22 as the murder weapon.

Agree. Sounds like DL told them everything. I wonder what he said about how he met DE, and what their plan was that day. DE and his family will have to come up with a new story of what happened to explain this. How many stories have they been through? About a dozen?

Brunswick Judicial Circuit Judge Stephen Kelley tentatively scheduled an Aug. 19 trial date in the slaying of 13-month-old Antonio Santiago.

The Brunswick News reports (http://bit.ly/19oNBKx) that the date was set during a status conference hearing Wednesday.

I don't know why this would suprise anyone. I would be very surprised if the prosecutor had NOT cut such a deal with the other boy. It appears he has cooperated with LE, LE believes his story, he will testify against the shooter and in return will plea to a lesser charge. The public defender is trying to make this seem like his client is getting railroaded, but that simply isnt the case.

I do believe a deal has been cut and I am fine with it. As to that deal including NO trial, yes, it may involve an agreed plea with no need for trial. Old Stretch is trying to make it appear as if the deal means that DL will serve no time or face no punishment, when really it simply means he pleads out to a crime rather than face a trial.

This is more non news for the defense attorney to get his face on camera while spouting more BS about how his innocent cartoon watching choir boy is being railroaded.

:( Tlcya, you've been following way more close than I. How is mom? Has she spoken lately ?

seems as if everyone but Mr. Gough has gone quiet. No clue how mom is doing but last I heard she had not moved form the area as planned and was being available for the prosecution as they get ready for trial.
