Something about her makes her look anorexic to me. The cheek bones, the hint of deep collar bone space behind the coroner's sign. 105 isn't super thin for her height, but it is low. Add in the thermals, the nightgown, etc…

I don't know, she just has that "look" you know?

Or ill.

My take on this: This is a woman who has been in a decade or so marriage to a violent control freak. He has isolated her from her family to the point that they no longer even question her absence from their lives.

Women like this tend to suffer from deep depression, sleepwalking through life and often don't bother to change out of their pajamas or sleepwear during the day. I would wonder if she were recently showered or the state of her dentition- as both are usually neglected in these situations.

In many cases these men tend to put homemade tattoos on their women. And in many cases these men will use hard-core Christian oriented training to keep the women under control. A large number tend to profess themselves as 'good Christian men'.

If this were the situation and he lost control, beat her and dumped her, who would even begin looking for her?

I would look for a man who had lost his wife around this time (probably telling the few folks who knew them that 'she ran off').

Wow, I think this is a very good and plausible theory of what most likely happened to her. The fact she was in her nightgown seems really strange to me and the dodgy Jesus' tattoo seems really odd as well. And the theory you have explains why she hasn't been claimed too, If she was isolated and estranged from her family for many years they may have stopped looking and accepted the fact she has moved on and moved forward with their lives. But you'd think they would have reported her missing though.

This is awkward, but in the tattoo picture her nipple is evident. Something to maybe alert the LE contact about or not a big deal?

I still see the resemblance in Beverly. Keep in mind an 8 year age difference in the pictures, a 20 pound difference, and a potentially very difficult/transient/abusive lifestyle during that time span.

I just don't see the resemblance to Beverly.

This case drives me crazy because she looks so familiar, like her name should be on the tip of my tongue. I wonder if it's because she looks like someone famous, or someone I know personally, or one of our missing we've looked at 1000 times before. I wish I knew.

She reminds me of a foreign exchange student I once knew named Sabine, but I don't think thats it.

Does she look familiar to anyone else?

I strongly disagree with the thought that her tattoo is homemade. The coloring is even. The letters are precise. The serifs on the letters match perfectly. I think the choice of fonts might be throwing people off, but that's a real, done with a machine in a shop tattoo.

I revised the image, and included a representation of her tattoo along with it.

Yes. I'm fairly sure I've seen a photo of a woman who looks just like her somewhere in one of the missing persons websites. I can't place where or when, though.

Could Jesus be her pimp?

We are on the same wavelength!

I just saw this lady again on FB of Tattoos of the Missing.

I had previously seen the thread that the tattoo was Jesus but hadn't seen a photo until today which showed the tattoo is Jesus'.

The apostrophe after Jesus totally changes everything. I believe the tattoo is a branding.

"Clothing with body: white panties, thermal underwear, gray vest, brown overcoat, blue jeans, night gown, watch bracelet, tennis shoes"

Does this mean she was wearing all items at once or she was found with these items nearby? If she was wearing them all at once, she could be homeless which opens up the possibility that she was never reported missing in the first place sadly.

As I watched my neighbor walking back to her house from the bus stop this morning, I realized half the women in the neighborhood are dressed like that first thing. They put on warm stuff to take the kids to the bus, then come back to the house and get dressed for work.

I have been trying to find a topic for this woman as I stumbled across her page on another site.
I searched lots of options but nothing seemed to bring it up.

http://canyouidentifyme.org/FultonGeorgiaJaneDoeJanuary1988

On January 13, 1988 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia, a woman between thirty and forty was discovered alive, after suffering an injury to the head, which was believed to have been committed by another person within hours of her discovery. She lived for five additional days until she died at a local hospital. She had the word "Jesus" tattooed to her right hand. She was between five feet and five feet two inches and weighed 105 pounds. The victim had strawberry blond hair that was nearly one foot long and green eyes. Three scars were found on her abdomen, possibly from surgery and another was found on her right arm. She had received some dental care, as gold crowns were found on two of her molars. The woman wore a brown coat, thermal underwear, panties, a gray vest, jeans, pajamas and tennis shoes. Along with these, she wore a watch.

Nevermind, thankyou for moving it to the right thread, i tried so many different options in the search lol.

I wonder if a tox screen would be performed at the hospital? She looks to be in very bad shape to me. I would guess perhaps a drug user? Her face looks very gaunt and weathered. I wonder if she was not local. Just given her body condition you would think that LE/hospitals/social services would be familiar with her in her hometown.

I agree; very gaunt. I wonder if she was a transient and/or had fallen into prostitution. I think she may have been a depraved heroin or methamphetamine user. I believe her tattoo "Jesus'" is branding by her pimp or abuser.
