inexcusable, poor police work. I don't think this was an ex boyfriend. I think this was a stranger. What I want to know is this-how was the steering column smashed, I mean with what and how was the car door pried open? Was her job near an isolated area? Because prying a car door open is no mean feat. It would take time and passersby would notice that.
You stole my words as is ... inoperative police but how nobody saw anything?

If it was a stranger abduction and Becky was whisked away, the timing might match this UID recently entered in Namus AL - AL - Heflin, WhtFem Pre-40, UP84287, Hoop Earrings, Feb '90 (websleuths.com) Namus doesn't note if Becky had pierced ears and her hair is listed as blonde, but since the UID description says hair showed varying shades of brown its not clear to me if this could be discolouration/weathering and it could have started as blonde.

Has anyone looked into if Becky could be #UP4778?
The weight could be off because of potentially being held captive. Height seems not definite, 5'9-5'11 in missing, unidentified is 5'4-5'7. I see a lot of similarities in the smile in the artist rendering and her actual photo.
