My fiancee and I have lived at Village by Cortland for 3 years, and just now hearing about this. She works at the complex and is currently trying to find information on the site from before the renovation in 2012.
We have pondered the walking routes from here to the Windy Hill and Cobb Pkwy intersection where BuckBoard was located, and have come up with 3 possible routes.
The first would be southeast down Lake Park Drive. This would have sent her past a Post Village guard shack and down a windy road with a few offices where she would have hit Cobb Pkwy; a major artery. Likely too busy for public foul play.
The second wouldve been if she left out the rear entrance of our complex, and travelled north on what is now Village Pkwy to the intersection of Windy Hill and Village Pkwy. From what I have researched, this was not a very developed road. Currently it has about 2 more complexes on it but still feels pretty woodsy and spread out. In 1992 this road would have been pretty much trees. This wouldve also sent her past a bit of a shady Apt. complex at the end of Village Pkwy. This route mightve had some car traffic but not nearly as much as route 1. From what ive read, this is likely the route she took.
The third wouldve been a path cutting through the 2 office complexes on the other side of Lake Park Dr. These were both pretty secluded and surrounded by woods then. Both would have been dead quiet being a friday night at midnight. The likelihood of her cutting through these would hinge upon her familiarity and comfortability with the area, also how often she made the trek.
My questions for you all.
1)Does anyone know what part of the complex she lived in, or apt#? This plays a big factor in determining the pathway taken.
2)Was it storming that night? Ive only found evidence of that from this thread.
3)Was she romantically entangled with Cobb Police officers? I'm partially informed on the Chris Miller incident in Marietta, and could Bridgette be one of the witnesses they needed to quiet to cover for themselves?
4)Do we know how long she lived at Post Village? This is a big complex with 1738 apartments, im wondering if the foul play couldve came from inside the complex?
