OH THANK GOD!!!!! it sounds like there is movement in this case !!!!

I think reward will be the quickest , money can make people talk pretty fast ( I hope)

I agree. As a side note, I saw a documentary once where how the reward was advertized made the key difference. The family had advertized for a year or more for information about their murdered relative on billboards on highways, fliers, etc. with no results.

They then hired a retired police detective as a private investigator. He quickly explained that the target audience (blacks in a rural southern area) did not drive on the highway much and simply did not respond to bill boards as bill boards were from the "white world". The investigator was also black, from the area and knew the local culture.

He told the family to give him $15,000 in a variety of bills in a brown bag. He then went door to door in the area. Over kitchen tables, he discussed sports, church, the weather- and the reward with locals. When discussing the reward, he took out the bag of money ,showed it to the people and then literally "put the money on the table". With in days, the phone was ringing off the hook with good tips. With in a month, a suspect had been investigated and charged.

CBS46 Investigates has learned new forensic evidence shows 19-year-old hair stylist-turned escort Bridget Shiel was running from her killer when she was gunned down May 31 in southwest Atlanta's Oakland City Park.

“She was scared of something that made her run,” says Vincent Hill, a former police officer and CBS46 law enforcement analyst.

We showed the autopsy to Hill. “When I look at the path of the bullets, they were all to the back side of her, so that tells me she was running away.”

Then she was likely shot on the ground.

“Some of the bullets entered at a downward angle,” says Hill, “so it tells me she was already on the ground when those shots were fired.”

He calls it “overkill.”

Velazquez enumerated several points he said were not true about the victim.
First, he said there was no evidence to suggest the victim was part of a large sex-trafficking ring in Atlanta. He also added that there was no evidence that Shiel was on the ground when she was shot explaining instead that they believe she was running from the attacker.
He finally added that there was no evidence that the attacker intended to burn the victim's body.
Velazquez said the erroneous information had an impact on the family and he cautioned all media to use good judgment, specifically explaining that only information from the department - and not on-set experts - could be vetted as fact on this case

The incorrect reports came from cbs46

As usual anyone with information is asked to call Atlanta Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).

This is sad, looks like overkill, its a tragedy but happens so much in her chosen illegal occupation

I hope they find the monster

Did they not find anything in the car other than her clothes? Prints?

What are the details of the 911 call on the morning she was found? Did authorities respond to the call?

Again CCTV..where?

I'm so annoyed they haven't said much

A fashion trend setter, she fancied pink wigs and lipstick early, and loyal friends called her “leader of the pack.”

“She was a beautiful child,” a grandmother told CBS46. ‘Her name was Bridget, but everyone called her “Shirley,” because she looked like Shirley Temple.” Known as a jokester. “Instead of saying, ‘Give that boy a cigar,’” she’d say, “give that boy a potato.’”

I listened to the actual conference via FB and it said that she was at a friend's approx an hour before she was seen at the gas station. The friend's house was near South Hairston and Redan *speculation* could have been The Park at Hairston apartments. There is a McDonalds S Hairston Redan from there to where her car was found is not even a 5 minute walk. From the McDonalds to the Chevron gas station is only a 7 minute drive so I wonder what was going on between here being at this friend's house at 22:15 and being on CCTV at the gas stn 23:30. If they went from the friend's house to the Chevron depending on route they could have passed 7 other gas stations.

MOO without else much to go on is that her killer/s is from Stone Mountain- they lived there and still have ties to the area

I thought for sure this one would be solved before the end of June. Of course, I didn't believe the Missy Bevers case would go on this long with the killer being seen on video, albeit in a disguise.

I'm guessing there is trace evidence in her car that is awaiting processing.
