Bridget Shiel's boyfriend reveals new details in television interview

ATLANTA (CBS46) -
The man who was the last person to see Bridget Shiel alive is also her boyfriend, and says he's the prime suspect in the investigation.

Tuesday marks eight months to the day since 19-year-old Bridget Shiel's was found shot to death, naked in Oakland City Park in Atlanta. An interview with her boyfriend has emerged with surprising details.

"I actually wish I was there," Kevin Anthony Kinnie said in a TV interview. "Yeah, I wish I was there man. Like I would have took them bullets for her.

Kinnie is moved to tears during the interview about the death of Shiel and the ensuing investigation in which police have yet to make an arrest. He calls the situation dramatic and said during the interview that he doesn't have any information that isn't already known.

No the 2 men are unidentified. They also have DNA of a male that is unidentified. I think they mean he was the last known person to see her before being seen with the unknown men.

The decedent has a name, Crime Watch. Bridget Shiel is her name, please use it.
I hate she is being defined as an escort, she was so much more.
Bridget deserves respect and justice.

I certainly hope LE is all over this case. The lack of updates or any other info from LE is discouraging. It will be a year next month so maybe we'll see an update then. I'd rather see an arrest or arrests, though.

There were reports last month of gang activity, and initiation by gangs with criminal activity in Stone Mountain.

I thought perhaps the connection to this, yet such an initiation and criminal activity wouldn't lead her back to the place in the park downtown Atlanta.

police say DNA left at the scene will lead them to her killer.

Shiel's body was found on May 31, 2016 in Oakland City Park in southwest Atlanta.

Police confirm the aspiring model, who appeared in several music videos and in several backpage ads as an escort, had been shot several times in the back as if she was running away from her killer.

In an exclusive interview with CBS46, a high ranking member of the Atlanta Police Department confirmed detectives have uncovered a new lead that will identify Bridget's killer.

"We have some DNA from the scene, we know it's male DNA," said Major Adam Lee III. "We're hoping we will get the match to that person. Sometimes it takes a while."
