in regards to the ambulance, I thought someone had stated that on the latest live feed on 13wmaz there were ambulance adn helicopters, was wondering of their urgency in that video, not yesterdays, I think the amblance was on standby then, since they were searching for the couple and in case they foudn them

Yes, and when the Sheriff just spoke live, he stated there were three helicopters out today, bet that is what I heard. He was standing in the same area I saw before I do believe, however obviously in a different location, as there was a big Sheriff Office bus that was not visible during the last quick glimpse we got, further making me think this is a staging area for the search or a command center....IMHO

The Sheriff admits there is something developing, but will not comment on it. I imagine it was someone who slipped it to the news about the vehicle being located in a pond. I sure hope they are not in the trunk....my stomach is in knots....I really hope they are tied up in a barn somewhere, although my hopes are fading....IMHO

Yes I do wonder if some farmer found the car, in earlier reports SS had asked everyone to keep an eye out and contact them if they found anything suspicious, mine stomach's in knots too

would they have not already checked the trunk once they got it out of the water?

It's not going to be good news. I'm hearing rumors about a discovery. If true, they were not in the car.

I think a lot of that depends on if they got it out already, I know they are going to preserve the car as much as they can, especially if it was only half submerged, not sure they would want to pull it out by hoist or wrecker, they might want to lift it out, that can take time depending on how rural/muddy an area it is in. IMHO

An Envoy is an SUV isn't it ? Would it actually have a trunk ? I don't think it would. The SUV I have doesn't have a trunk, just a big cargo area in the rear.

If the couple are found deceased and we don't know. If all agency's are following protocol with no loose lips, the family would be notified first before the public is addressed. Just sayin

Thanks Cinnamon... yes, this is the report I saw earlier... I think they edited it for a post. Here is what seems to be the edited report link.

You're welcome, JustyThoughts. I had the live feed tab open in my browser and it just started playing at some point , about 1:30, whenever I made my earlier post. Even though it said "live" it was probably a repeat of what you saw earlier. Thank you for the edited report link!

A couple days ago, he explained that they were using this hunting camp because it was in the south part of the county & provided ammenities they needed for a search HQ. I believe he said it was private property. There is nothing unusual about having EMS on stand-by in emergency operations. I think it is required by GA law.

If there is a car in a pond, I bet it was spotted by the helicopters. In that situation, I do not know if rescuers/searchers could go directly there or if they would have to get land-owners permission. In the Tara Grinstead search in that same quadrant of the state, LE had a tuff time searching by land because one of the POI's family was a big land owner & wouldn't allow access.

My feelings are that if his father brought him in, then he is going to talk. Thank God the family is not trying to cover for him as we have seen before, at least that is the assumption I have.

I've been thinking the same thing, steelman. My SUV does not have a trunk either, like you said, just a cargo area, made bigger when I fold down the back seats. There is a small well for my spare tire under the cover in the back, but it's just big enough to hold the spare. But, I'm not familiar with Envoys, so I wasn't sure. I wasn't aware that any SUV had trunks.

Correct, there is really no "trunk" to speak of. I own a 2003 Envoy and I cannot think of any way a person could be anywhere inside of the vehicle and not be noticed just with a quick visual inspection.

When I have gone out on searches in the past there has always been an ambulance crew standing by. I think they stand by for the searchers. One time we were searching for a missing four year old boy. my son and his friend came with me to search. It was a very hot day, and many people searching ended up with heat exhaustion (my son included). When searching rural you can have turned ankles, heat exhaustion, cuts, falls, etc....IMHO
