Death of Tuscumbia native is homicideGeorgia authorities have opened a homicide investigation into the death of a Tuscumbia native.
Reports from the Cherokee County (Georgia) Sheriff’s office said the remains found at a residence in the 2100 block of Purcell Lane near Alpharetta, Georgia, have been identified as those of Gary W. Farris, 58, a Deshler High School graduate.
Authorities said Farris’s death has been ruled a homicide.
The sheriff’s office said it “is confident that this is not a stranger-on-stranger crime and Mr. Farris knew the suspect(s).”
