:mad:This is so aggravating to me. As well as senseless and inhumane.

Guy jr has went through more than any of us could even begin to comprehend. Regardless of whether the company can (or will?) provide the bracelet, he deserves to be able to attend his families funeral. My God, it is his father AND every member of his immediate family! Note the section where Glynn County Sheriff Wayne Bennett said he would not allow Guy to attend unless ordered by the court!

If Guy jr is NOT in fact not a suspect, (which in my opinion, he is not), then there is NO reason, NO excuse for the legal system to not allow him to attend his own families funerals. If law enforcement knows of a reason
that he needs to be protected, then send him with officers for protection. Have a little compassion.

I agree. It appears that Glynn County does not usually deal with monitoring devices that much or that would be stock piled to insure that when the judge rules on a person to wear one they would be available. Either way I do believe they will end up letting him attend whether it be already out on bail or not. They could easily assign a deputy to him and take him to the funerals cuffed up. I feel almost 99.9% that he is not a suspect.

Glen County might want to reassess the contract with Providence Community Corrections in Jesup. The company’s website boasts "Human Services Without Walls." www.provcorp.com However, it looks more like a 9 X 6 to me. Mr. Harrison should petition the court on his client’s behalf.
It is becoming crystal clear the primary focus is on one individual. The focus, no doubt, results from the failure of this individual to provide a credible alibi. But one’s “gut” feeling does not justify beating a square peg into a round hole.

Sorry but I disagree. There is nothing crystal clear about any of this. If something was SO crystal clear then someone would already be charged, IMO. Just because he lied of his whereabouts before 8 am doesn't mean anything and he has already been charged about lying about it. If he was hanging out at a drug house or somewhere that he didn't want to bring "heat" upon the place that doesn't mean he is guilty of killing his family. Who hasn't lied before about being somewhere at that age?! I did plenty of times but that doesn't mean I was conspiring to kill my family. The only thing crystal clear is that there is no known suspects, 8 people have been murdered and now their families are about to bury them, and a 3 yr old is in the hospital. Until they name a suspect or someone is arrested I won't sit back and be a conspiracy theorist just because Guy Jr is in jail. All my own opinion though.

I seem to pick up on the weirdest things. Why does Glynn County have both a Chief of Police (Matt Doering) and a Sheriff (Wayne Bennett)? The Brunswick Chief of Police is Edna Johnson.

I was not trying to imply guilt. What I was trying to convey, without being any more inflammatory, was that, IMO, Chief Doering has a preconceived notion.

If the authorities detain Heinze, Jr. after he has made bail, wouldn’t it become a civil rights issue?

That is awfully strange.

I'm don't wish to sound judgmental or harsh or unfair. I do have a migraine so if I come across as either of those, please excuse me.

I'm not in Brunswick or even in Georgia. I don't know Doering nor would I probably recognize him even if I saw him on the street.

But, iMHO, he sounds as if he is in over his head and has decided that Guy Jr. is it and is going to hold onto that notion no matter what.

Tampering with evidence? For, as far as we know, going into his home, finding the bodies and trying to help them? Maybe remove his drugs?

Drug charges? For pot?

The shotgun, maybe.

To me, and again this is my opinion only, it seems as if he's decided it's Guy and has charged him with whatever he can in order to hold him until he finds more proof.

An ankle bracelet? Where in God's name is he going to run to? Club Med?

And I will say this again. Michael was alive when Guy found him. If Guy did it, then why ask the ambulance to hurry? Why not finish him off so he can't identify Guy as the murderer?

A pastor in a neighboring town said residents have been donating money to help cover funeral costs to a fund he set up with a local bank. A funeral home and a company that pours concrete burial vaults are offering their services at a discount.

"It's just overwhelming — seven at one time. Eight, really," said the Rev. Danny Stilwell of the Church of God of Prophecy in Eulonia, who declined to say how much had been donated to the fund he set up. "It's nowhere near what's needed, but people are responding. Whatever's given is truly appreciated."
Danny Nobles of Howard-Jones-Nobles Funeral Home in Jesup said they were giving the family discounted services to help them deal with the cost, but said he did not want to go into specifics.

Brunswick mass murder has friends of victims worried

Here in Glynn County we have a city police department and a county police department. It's the same with our fire departments.

The Glynn County Sheriff's Office main job is to maintain "order and safety in the Courts, execution of criminal warrants and civil processes and management of the Detention Center". (This is from their website).

I hope that helps to explain the different agencies.

Or Puerta Vallarta like Andrew Luster, there is a double standard in this country, his a poor kid from a poor family, if they have to use him as a sacrificial lamb so what. A monitoring device for petty crimes??? Unbelievable, in most cases suspects roam free, he hasn't even been named a suspect. His not it, in the 911 call he didn't even know how many victims there were, he also thought they had been beaten and your right about Michael. I can't believe his still in jail.

I have listened to the 911 tape, looked at the mug shot which shows an anguished expression, IMO. I have read all the articles which are linked in this thread.

Although I can see that he did interfere with the crime scene, I CANNOT see the need for the harsh response from LE. Either there is evidence against this young man that we are not privy to, or the reaction of LE is way past going overboard. Requiring him to wear an ankle bracelet----and then keeping him in jail because one is "not available"----something is off.

I agree with your points, Missy. This was a family without a lot of money, they were being evicted and some members of the family had criminal records: I think the police looked at this crime with their minds firmly made up beforehand. I am encouraged that LE continues to investigate, and I hope the truth comes forth, no matter what it is.

I have been very suspicious of him because the two left hanging on were a small child of 3 and a young man with Downs Syndrome. Most likely neither could have pointed a finger at him.
What a monster. I hope he fries.:furious:

BRUNSWICK, Ga. - Guy Heinze Jr. is being charged in the weekend slayings of seven family members and a friend.

http://www.jacksonville.com/news/ge...layings_to_be_charged_with_eight_counts_of_mu

Thursday, he said investigators have not ruled out gang involvement or drugs in the attack. Today, he still didn't comment about the possible motive about whether the killings were random or targeted someone in the trailer.

BBM- 1st bold - I thought in an earlier article they had ruled out gangs????
2nd bold - very confusing if they arrested Jr today and charging him with all murders.

Firscoastnews said they will hold live 9pm news conference. Not sure if it will be on web. Firstcoastnews.com is their website.

This does not come as a surprise to me at all. I always felt from the very beginning LE knew this went much deeper than just the other charges they lodged against him. That was done so they could have ample time to get the evidence they needed for his arrest in the murders.

The happenings were just too coincidental. He was the only one supposedly not there yet his whereabouts alibi was false.

I noticed how many times he stressed he had JUST gotten home in the 911 call he made. He stressed it many times. Too many times imo.

He also said they looked like they were beaten. That was to throw the officers off that he knew they all had been shot.

When I saw his mug shot he did not look like a grieving man. He looked hardened.

God help this family who will wrestle with the fact that one of their own completely wiped out so many lives.

imo

I always thought Jr knew or it was retaliation to him
Wonder why LE let him out today and then turned around and rearrested him. Wonder if this ankle moniter they waited so long on, had a recorder in it? Just some many thoughts as to what brought LE back to JR. Or did they know all alone? Maybe that is why chef was so tight lip during conferences. Hope he'll tell more tonight, I doubt it though.
