Heinze, who police said was an immediate family member of at least one of the victims, was being held without bond in the Glynn County Detention Center and was said to be cooperating with police.

BBM Pretty steep for pills, pot, tampering, and obstruction charges to have no bond!

Hey SS (my fwend!!!) ummmm yeeaaaahhhhh... that is completely and utterly and stupidly steep for some darvocet and mary jane! WTH? How could his atty even STAND for that?

Why didn't people hear all this?! Windows open, no ac, quiet night, mh park, and 9 people shot. WTH?! Was everyone living there deaf or what? Surely people inside the house were screaming, fighting, and trying to survive. Since Michael had gunshots (plural) it would mean at least 10 shots fired and probably more. I just don't see it happening that no one heard a single thing! :waitasec:

Have we figured out yet who B. West's son and brother in law are? They lived at the house and according to her were "safe and well". Which would bring the toll of people living in the house up to 12!

Very possible. I just heard shot in the head, but didn't sound exactly like execution style with at least Michael's face bashed in. Guy thought they were beaten. Still...could be. A kill shot is a kill shot.

Neebee~ I just saw your post and maybe you are right. Not contract, but people on a rampage. I also don't see how one man could have shot 9 people with 4 of those being men (including the 19yo, MT). There had to be some kind of struggle I would think and the odds are against there only being one person involved.

To me I think this is going to involve drugs or it is going to involve "bad blood" with a relative having an agenda and a rage.

It does make me wonder if the other family realized there were serious problems going on in that home where something like this had been stewing.

Maybe they feel guilt because they didn't try to intervene or get involved.

This reminds me of a case in my hometown about 20 years ago. The mom and dad had thrown their son out of the house because he had become a violent drug addict and was stealing them blind when he lived there. He came back one night and murdered his mom and dad in their bed as they slept and he tried to rape and murder his own sister. She lived even though seriously wounded and when he was there she pretended she was dead.

I wonder why this guy was still living at home at 22 instead of out on his own.

imo

Especially with 11 other people living in the house! I don't see how fights didn't erupt every day with the heat, the obvious living conditions, and in such cramped quarters. The Tolers must have been generous to a fault. :(

How awful! Drugs make people do crazy things anymore. It must be the crack/heroin/cocaine because I have never heard of someone smoking pot and going on a killing rampage.

My understanding of the jacksonville.com article was that her son is okay, but she does not know about her brother-in-law.

The latest jacksonville.com update reports that Heinze Jr removed a shotgun from the mobile home and put it in his trunk AND the alibi he gave for Friday night was "bogus."

(The article is at the following address, but I can't seem to get the link to work now:

www.jacksonville.com/news/metro/200...acre_near_brunswick_911_calls_have_been_relea

The link worked for me. Maybe we can understand why he's been jailed. Is this guy for real? He removes a shotgun from the mobile home and puts it in his trunk? He gives bogus info about his whereabouts on Friday? There could be a reason, maybe an illegal one not connected to the crime, but it sure doesn't look so hot for him right now.

If I was Heinze Jr, I would want a shotgun, too - for protection. I have no clue if LE thinks he's involved (bogus alibi) or need his help/information (reports are that he is cooperating).

LE has said they got some info from nearby surveilance video, but they are really keeping the lid on. Also, it seems if it was revenge for the Pizza Hut murder, local people would have some idea who's involved since they know who was killed and who was arrested. Are the murder victims related to the person arrested for the Pizza Hut murder?

Hello, Topix fans. Crazy Anne here posting yet even more info gleaned from your board. Commence bashing now.

Back when the murders were first reported someone on Topix thought there might have been a link to an earlier murder that happened at the local Pizza Hut. A revenge type killing. Apparently someone claiming to be a twin of the (I'm assuming) slain man and vowing avenge on the murderer. Then the Brunswick Mobile Home Park murders happened.

The person thought to be responsible in the Pizza Hut case has been arrested

That rumor seems to now have been discounted. Especially since the only mention I've seen from Jeff's brother simply says he wants justice done.

My understanding of the jacksonville.com article was that her son is okay, but she does not know about her brother-in-law.
It was followed up with a quote from either her or Christ West, her other brother-in-law, that stated they were waiting to hear from THEM. To me, this indicated her brother-in-law was still alive.

Hmm. I understood it to mean she was waiting to hear from LE. I guess "them" could be either the brother-in-law and son OR LE. Now, I'm waiting to hear from "them," too.

Saturday afternoon, a woman came to the scene in a white car, spoke briefly to some residents and then began screaming.

Belinda West contacted the Times-Union Sunday and identified herself as the woman. West said her son was not inside the mobile home as one of the New Hope residents had said and that he is safe and well.

She came to the park looking for her brother-in-law who lived in the mobile home, but whom she declined to name Sunday.

She was driven to the park by Christ West, who is also her brother in law, she said. “We [are] waiting to hear from them,’’ she said.

OK...now you have me wondering if they were talking about LE. It may make sense that the boyfriend of Toler's daughter with the 3 year old could be her brother-in-law and she thought her son was with him that night (which he evidently wasn't...lucky for him).

By the way, have we heard anything about Guy's brother he was trying to call during his 911 call? Who and where is he?!

BTW, the posters on brunswick, georgia topix really, really hate us.

(expecting to see this now posted over there as well)

So, I went to look. They are more interested in WS than the murders at this point. How sad. They need a Mod over there.

Isn't it sort of better to not talk about other sites, anyway?

one of the stations I can't remember which one I have looked at interviewed a black man that said cops had notified him that his son was dead. Not the man that was with the woman so it has to be her brother in law

Yes!!! But can someone post a link anyways?!?!?!

Don't know if that's allowed. All you ever need to do, for any place, is type in topix which is a news aggreator, and the place you want to read about.

And i won't mention topi again. I was just feeling a bit picked on over there.

First, let me say, at least for now, that I feel sorry for Guy Jr. Everytime you do a search on this topic, you get articles saying someone has been arrested, and it' him. If he's innocent, them this is a horrible thing to have happen to someone whose entire family is dead.

A neighbor of the family who does not want to be identified tells News 3 that Michael Toler, 19, had Down syndrome. “He had been through multiple surgeries throughout his short life… He was loud at times, very boisterous and always smiling. He loved to go fishing with his dad,“ said the neighbor.
The neighbor said Michael lived in the home with his father, Rusty Toler, two sisters, and a brother. The neighbor also said one of the sisters had a three year-old child and boyfriend living in the home and says Guy Heinze, Jr., and his father Guy Heinze, Sr., also lived there, but the Heinzes and Tolers were not blood-related.

Doering said they are now getting assistance from the FBI and US Marshals in the investigation. Police have made no new arrests and so far have no named suspects. Doering said as far as he knew, the $25,000 reward had generated no significant information.

And the above quote is why Doering irritates me. Shouldn't he know whether or not the tip line has generated anything of significance?

They won't know if it is a significant tip until they investigate it. The spokesperson or Chief are usually not directly involved with the tipline while it is being "triaged" or categorized as to importance of the tips.

Chief plays mobile home slayings close to the vest

By KATE BRUMBACK and RUSS BYNUM (AP) – 1 hour ago

BRUNSWICK, Ga. — Glynn County Police Chief Matt Doering knows the public is eager to know more about the mysterious slayings of eight people in this Georgia coastal city but is reticent to release details that might destroy his investigation.
