A long article about Trump's electoral plans for Georgia.

THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION this year will come down to seven states — but there’s one that Donald Trump and his most committed lieutenants see as a blueprint for corrupting future local and national elections: Georgia.

He loves this publicity. I wish his fans would learn that he's just a conman & a criminal.

Former President Donald Trump claims he was tortured inside the Fulton County Jail as he was booked on charges that he conspired to overturn the 2020 election here in Georgia.

At least that’s what a new fundraising ad says.

The ad, which is selling things with his now-infamous mug shot, says “I want you to remember what they did to me. They tortured me in the Fulton County Jail, and TOOK MY MUGSHOT. So guess what? I put it on a mug for the WHOLE WORLD TO SEE!”
and
In total, Trump was in and out of the Fulton County Jail in less than 15 minutes.

“The Secret Service was with him. We had a few individuals that were really stationed to make sure we were very fluid in what we did,” Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat told Channel 2 investigative reporter Mark Winne. “He did come in through the back. So his motorcade came in, he ultimately came out, very intentional about making sure we had the right people in place to both take the mugshot and complete the fingerprint and background as we do everyone else. He was then escorted back to the actual motorcade where his bonding paperwork was brought to him. He didn’t have to languish here.”

I think people who have suffered actual torture would like to have a word.

A judge said Wednesday he was leaning toward throwing out Rudy Giuliani ‘s bankruptcy case after lawyers for the cash-strapped former New York City mayor and his biggest creditors — two ex-Georgia election workers who won a $148 million defamation judgment against him — agreed this was the best way forward.

The case has been roiled by allegations Giuliani is flouting bankruptcy laws and potentially hiding assets. A dismissal would end his pursuit of bankruptcy protection, but it wouldn’t let him off the hook for his debts. His creditors could pursue other legal remedies to recoup at least some of the money they’re owed, such as getting a court order to seize his apartments and other assets.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean Lane said he plans to issue a decision by the end of the week. He scheduled a hearing for 1 p.m. Friday and could make his ruling at that time. Lane ruled out converting the case to a liquidation, as Giuliani had recently requested, saying that doing so would not be in the best interest of people and entities he’s indebted to.

July 12, 2024 CNN online article by Katelyn Polantz entitled ‘Judge dismisses Giuliani’s bankruptcy case, allowing creditors to try to seize his assets’. Quoting from the article first paragraph:

“Rudy Giuliani is no longer entitled to bankruptcy protection, a judge decided Friday, making it possible for creditors to immediately pursue his assets within days.”

I’ll defer to lawyers on this activity, and whether the individual is likely to appeal the ruling if that is permitted. MOO
