Thanks for linking the FB page. I also noted in the comments that (per Admin) when this man came to her home the day before, he said he had just bought the house next door, and wanted them to keep an eye on it.

If he's the one she left with, I doubt that is true. If it's true it's easily verifiable.

I'm hoping Karen just needed to get away, whatever her reason. Maybe once this man sees he's being pointed out, he'll make sure she contacts LE or family. Someone is going to know who he is, maybe even from Florida.

Just my thoughts. After looking at KK’s FB, I’m reminded of Leila Cavett. Leila drove from Georgia to Florida to meet up with a self-proclaimed “witch doctor.” Her 2-yr-old was found wandering the streets, and the witch doctor was arrested.

We received news today that KK and Sophie were located by the San Diego, CA police department on 1/21/21 with two unknown people. Her mental state at the time was not well, but she insisted that she was okay and although, she was located alive on that date, the police have been unable to make contact with her again.

More at the link but this is the pertinent info, IMO.

ETA: Greenville GA to San Diego CA is a 31-hour drive.

ETA: Did they change the fb title because they now think she's voluntary missing? How did they know that it was her in San Diego on the 21th? Did she have an id? Did she tell the police who she was? Did they take photos of her?

Wow. So she's an adult, she's there of her own free will, and she's okay per SDPD so that's it. What a nightmare for this family though, to be unable to see and talk to her directly and find out what's going on. I hope she makes contact with them soon, if she's able. MOO

To her family she's still missing. And judging by their reaction, they likely don't feel she's well. They have been shown her pictures taken by police.

I agree with you.... I admittedly don’t know a lot about trafficking. But, a lot of what I’ve read describes a terrible cycle of a drug dependent person (usually young woman) who willingly shares her income with someone (usually a man) in order to get the drugs. The deeper they get into it, the more dependent they become on the drugs. I think it could explain the long distance, how LE “discovered her” (a possible arrest), the strange man, and that her family says she’s not acting right. I’m sad for her family for sure.

This situation is hard on the family but sometimes people do walk away due to the pull of other reasons. I feel they know she was not found but in legal terms, she was apparently. So sad for them but, the police can't force her to make contact nor come with them.

What if she's unable to make contact with her family? It doesn't seem like she's leading a normal life elsewhere. She needs help IMO.
