GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - The Gwinnett County Police Department is investigating the disappearance of a 21-year-old man from their jurisdiction.

Police say on July 29 at around 10:45 a.m., Leondre Flynt told someone he was going to pick up a car part.

That person told police they never heard from him again after that.

Flynt drives a 2018 maroon GMC Canyon, according to police. He has brown eyes and black hair that is styled in corn row braids. He is 6-feet tall and weighs about 140 pounds.

The department said they were not yet ready to release further information on the case, but more details are pending.

******************************
I did a Google search for his name, and came across comments that his cousin posted on another forum. I can't post the link here because of TOS, but the details the cousin posted are very strange and very concerning. I hope that the police will be able to release more details soon.

I saw that, too. I’m thinking robbery gone bad.

LOGANVILLE, Ga. — The family of a missing 21-year-old Gwinnett County man is asking for the public's help after he vanished during what was supposed to be a routine trip to the auto parts store on Saturday.

Leondre Flynt disappeared on July 29 around 10:45 a.m. after he left his Loganville home along Carlton Cove Court to pick up a part he ordered off the internet for a car he's working on.

Flynt never made it to the parts store.

Two days later, Flynt's 2018 GMC Canyon pickup truck was found abandoned in Michigan.

His older brother, Anthony Lee, is now desperately trying to find his sibling. He was passing out flyers to bring attention to his brother's disappearance Wednesday.

Lee told 11Alive's Cody Alcorn that his brother had just bought his new truck three weeks ago and that it was his first big purchase that he was very excited about.

He finds it extremely unlikely that he would drive it out of state, park it randomly and abandon it. Lee said he and his brother share their phone location with each other, but Flynt's phone has been off since Saturday and he has not been able to track his location.

Lee said that he got in touch with OnStar to find out that his brother's pickup truck was abandoned in Michigan.

The Gwinnett County Police Department said Flynt is 5-foot-11 and weighs 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white sleeveless shirt, black jeans and red Jordan slides, although he may have a change of clothes on him, according to police.

His 2018 GMC Canyon is maroon and has a temporary tag number of P4682911. If anyone has seen Flynt or knows where he is, they are asked to call detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.

Lee said he wants nothing more than to find his brother.

alright the wording has been a little confusing between the articles.

for one, his vehicle has located in MI based on OnStars info but has not actually been recovered/found, if i’m reading correctly.

“For him not to contact anybody in the family -- that’s not like him at all,” said SW, a cousin of Flynt who said they are more like brothers.

SW added that it’s unusual for Flynt to go for days without reaching out to anyone in his family or his job.

He’s been at the same company for three years and he’s never missed a day at work," he said. "Him and his sister are very, very, very close if anybody at all, he would make sure he contacts his sister."

Leondre is believed to be deceased, and it is now a homicide investigation. Evidence was found while executing a search warrant at the Marquis at Buckhead Apartments in Atlanta. The family traced the location through phone records and found out that several people at the apartments had heard shots the night Leondre went missing. The family led police to the location. Atlanta police released the incident report to 11alive. The family believes that police has persons of interest, but no names have been released at this time.

This is a long article that is worth reading.

Wow. so incredibly sad for this young man and his family. "The family led police to the location." - good for them! Sounds like they stayed on the trail and were pretty good detectives. Just crushed for the outcome they discovered.

A 20-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with murder after the months-long disappearance of a Gwinnett County man, documents show.

Destiny Stephens is also charged with concealing a death. Warrants indicate that two other people - another woman and a man -- are also connected to the crime.
and
As the investigation continued into Flynt's disappearance, the warrants state that police plugged in Flynt's pickup truck into the license plate reader and found out the truck had entered the Lowe's parking lot on Caroline Street NE in Atlanta. It was there that police found video surveillance of Stephens and the other woman mentioned in the warrant get out of Flynt's truck and go inside.

It was inside the store where they bought a handsaw and bolt cutters, according to the warrants. Later that night, doorbell camera footage captured the man mentioned in the warrant moving "bulk items on a furniture dolly" from the apartment unit in the direction of the elevators.
