Loved ones fear missing Coweta County man was abducted

"His keys were left in the ignition. His phone was left in the seat...All of his belongings were left in there and my father is not the type that would have left his truck unattended," Davis explained.

According to Davis, she last spoke with her father on August 22.

That was the day before he was to check out of a Union City motel.

The 52-year-old was staying there because his daughter and grandchildren were in quarantine due to COVID-19.

"My dad when he was leaving the motel. He was going to my mother's in North Carolina to get his tag renewed," she described.

But he never made it to North Carolina, and no one has seen or spoken to him in nearly three months.

After his truck was found, loved ones came back to this area to put up these flyers which led to a Davis getting a terrifying call.

"We had somebody come forth and say that they had seen and witnessed my father get into an altercation at a gas station where then he was forced into a vehicle against his will," she explained.

Lots of questions..

Where did the alleged altercation and abduction take place (at which gas station, Sam’s Club or the BP)?

What time did the alleged altercation and abduction take place?

I assume his truck was found at the location where the alleged altercation and abduction took place?

Have any of his credit or ATM cards been used since the time of the alleged altercation and abduction?

Did the witness pick up on the nature of the argument / altercation?

Since the last video images of him are reported to be from the ATM on Greenbriar Pkwy, I assume he did not enter the Sam’s Club store. Is this assumption correct?

Details of Disappearance​

Hawkins was last seen near the Waffle House restaurant in the vicinity of Clairmont Road and Interstate 85 in Brookhaven, Georgia on August 23, 2021. He is known to have visited a Sunset Trust bank on Greenbriar Parkway in Atlanta, Georgia at 10:18 a.m. that day, and was photographed at the ATM.

A witness subsequently claimed they saw Hawkins at a gas station, arguing with two black men who forced him to get into a black Chevrolet Suburban. Authorities have not been able to verify the witness's claims, as they didn't come forward until October 9.

Hawkins's red 2002 Ford F-150 with a white door was sighted on surveillance footage in the parking lot of Sam's Club in the 2900 block of Clairmont Road in Chamblee, Georgia at about 7:00 p.m. that day. There was no sign of him, but the truck's keys were in the ignition, his phone was on the front seat and his other belongings were in the car. The truck was marked as abandoned and towed on August 28; a photo of it is posted with this case summary.

The circumstances of Hawkins's disappearance are unclear, but his family doesn't think he would have abandoned them. His case remains unsolved.

Hawkins left a Union City Hotel on the morning of 08/23/2021. At approximately 1018 hours on 08/23/2021, Hawkins did visit a Suntrust Bank located on Greenbriar Parkway, Atlanta. On 08/23/2021 at approximately 1943 hours I observed Hawkins` 2002 red Ford F250 arrive at the Sams Club located at 2901 Clairmont Rd, Chamblee, GA 30329. Hawkins never returned to get his vehicle, and it was later impounded by Sam’s Club on 08/28/2021. A Waffle House employee advised they witnessed Hawkins enter a black Chevy suburban with two black males on a weekend night in August but could not provide a specific date.
