Can you imagine her father finding her that way? SMH.
He will see it in his mind until the day he dies, I'm sure.
Hoping there will be some type of evidence that will lead to the killer.
Oh, this is a sad one...

Mia Campos

Mia was the youngest of five siblings. Her family says the unborn child, expected to be born in September, was named Sebastian, per the outlet.

Thinking (hoping) we will get more info from the boyfriend and from LE soon.
@Kapua, yes I want to know who she was with the last time she left her home. Was it her ex-boyfriend? We may never know.
Hoping also for justice.
What a beautiful, sweet-looking young girl. Prayers for her family, and may Mia and Sebastian rest in peace together.

Investigators initially arrested and charged Campos’ ex-boyfriend, Jesus Monroy, with lying to police. On Tuesday, detectives announced they are now charging Monroy with malice murder, felony murder, feticide and aggravated assault.

Monroy went searching for Mia with her father, Edward Campos and located her lifeless body about 20-30 feet into the woodline off a road located less than a half of a mile from the Campos’ Loganville home.
Police charge ex-boyfriend of pregnant teen with her murder

wow, haven't followed this one closely. So the BF/killer actually was with her father when her body was "found"? How convenient for him. RIH Mia and Sebastian

Arrest warrants state Mia Campos was lured to the entrance of her neighborhood and killed by asphyxiation.

Around 1 a.m. on July 15, officers were called to the 3600 block of Stephens Road in Loganville, where Mia Campos’ family had located her body lying face down in a wooded area near the road using a cellphone tracking app. They told police she left the house the night before with an unknown person.

Edward Campos said his daughter was found less than a mile away from home.

“It was hard. I knew it was something wrong – her lips, her bleeding nose,” Edward Campos previously told Atlanta News First. “They murdered my baby.”

Mia leaves home on Sunday around 10:30 pm telling her brother Alexis she was going to the mini-mart with her baby daddy. By midnight, the family is concerned and begin searching for her and located her body 1/2 mile from home just off the road in the woods (using find my phone app).

Mia's phone stopped moving within 27 minutes of her leaving home. Mia was believed murdered within minutes of leaving home. Brother Alexis introduced Mia to his classmate, the baby daddy killer.

The suspect lied to police about not seeing Mia when he lured Mia to go to the store with him! What an idiot...

Georgia teen Mia Campos left her home on the evening of July 14 and when she never returned, her family became concerned. The Campos family used an app to track her location and found her dead in the woods just hours after she walked out their front door. Mia was 7.5 months pregnant at the time of her death. In a twisted turn of events, the unborn baby's father, 20-year-old Jesus Monroy, was charged with her murder. Authorities allege Monroy lured her out of the home with a routine convenience store run before allegedly murdering her. Monroy then joined in on the search for Mia with her parents, who said he acted emotionless and cold upon finding Mia's body. Law&Crime's Sierra Gillespie speaks with Mia's parents about the tragic case.

A medical examiner in Georgia has ruled a teenager’s death a homicide after family members used an app to track her location and instead found her dead. Mia Campos, 16, was seven months pregnant. Authorities have arrested her ex-boyfriend, 20-year-old Jesus Monroy, for lying to police, but have not yet charged him with murder. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber takes a closer look at the disturbing case with criminal defense attorney Lawrence Zimmerman.

Channel 2′s Michael Doudna talked with the victim’s family, who is outraged the man they believe killed their pregnant daughter will be out on bond.

“It’s getting worse and worse,” Edward Campos.

Time has not healed the hole in his heart a month and a half later after his daughter was murdered.

“Now you can see her room, and it’s just an empty box,” he told Doudna.

Back on July 14, Mia Campos is seen leaving her home after telling family members she is meeting her unborn child’s father Jesus Monroy. Hours later, her father found her body dumped in nearby woods.

Mia would have given birth to her son, Sebastian, next week.

“Now I don’t have my grandchild, and now I don’t have my daughter,” Edward Campos said.

Authorities charged Monroy with four felonies, including felony murder. But in his bond hearing Wednesday, Monroy learned he would be going home.

“But after hearing the defense lawyer. Everything went to the hole, everything went to the drain,” Edward Campos said.

Monroy’s attorney argued that the evidence against him was circumstantial, that he wasn’t a threat, had no criminal record, and wasn’t a flight risk . His attorney asked for $75,000 bond.

The judge came back with an even lower bond at $50,000. Jail records show his bond as $56,000.

As part of his bond conditions, Monroy surrendered his passport over to the court and cannot have contact with any witnesses in the case.
