Esther Panitch, the attorney representing Neuman's estranged wife Ariela, told 11Alive News Tuesday morning that "every step that the D.A. takes to further investigate their case is a march closer to justice for Rusty Sneiderman and may result in the arrest of his widow Andrea Sneiderman for her role in not only his death, but also covering it up afterwards."

Panitch believes Sneiderman could face charges of making false statements to police, perjury and possibly even murder.

"It's up to the D.A. to decide if they feel like they have enough to charge her based on the totality of the circumstances surrounding her involvement," Panitch said.

Panitch described Sneiderman's "level of arrogance" throughout the investigation and trial, saying, "I think it would take a criminal charge to bring her back down to reality and realize that what she's alleged to have done is very, very serious."

"This is not a joke. This is not a game. This is someone's life who was taken, and this is someone's life who will be affected by criminal charges, so the decision [to charge Sneiderman] has to be very deliberate," Panitch added.

Thank you so much, atthelake for all the work done on this case.

Also, everyone else that has helped.

I am not able to post a lot due to a stroke I had a year ago and the fingers don't wanna work, but I read a number of threads with all of you and feel like I know you all. Also, currently in the hospital now, have been since Thursday. May get out of ICU today.

Well, well, well...nice to see that AS still has her sociopathy and warped sense of reality intact. Then again, her attorney may not have fully sobered up before filing responsive briefs that are public record...

After claiming that she had "gone out of her way" to arrange visits between the Sneidermans and the children during the interval between the murder and the trial, her response to their filing for Court intervention to see their grandchildren was that their allegations of her involvement in Rusty's death wasn't in the children's "best interest", hence no visitation. Now she's fighting to prevent the Court from appointing a guardian ad liteim SPECIFICALLY to protect the best interests of the children...good grief!!!! Beam me up, Scotty, as I can't keep up with the whirl of her endless spinning and changing "story". Regardless, I am DELIGHTED to know that the Sneidermans will have a wonderful weekend with the children starting with dinner tonight...God bless each of them.

As always, IMO, JMO, and any other necessary disclaimers,

Westie Mom

Sneiderman is suing Neuman for wrongful death in the murder of her husband Rusty Sneiderman, who was shot to death outside his son's daycare in November 2010. A DeKalb County jury convicted Neuman of the murder in March.

The Dekalb County District Attorney's office is still investigating Sneiderman. Several weeks ago, a grand jury requested a videotape of Sneiderman's testimony for review for a possible criminal indictment. However, Sneiderman has not been charged with any crime.

Andrea Sneiderman indicted in husband's murder

Attorneys for Neuman, who is currently serving a life sentence without parole after a jury found him guilty but mentally ill in the murder, say their client is willing to cooperate with prosecutors in their case against Andrea Sneiderman.

"His perspective on things is definitely different," Neuman attorney Bob Rubin said..

"He now sees how Andrea played him like a yo-yo," Rubin said.

Andrea Sneiderman indicted in husband's murder

Andrea Sneiderman was held at the DeKalb County Jail without bond. During a news conference on Thursday afternoon, James said he would ask a judge that bond be denied for her.

"We're going to put our best foot forward," James said. "We're going to put all the facts and the evidence out there. At the end of the day, it's going to be up to a jury to make a decision."

Thursday afternoon, J. Tom Morgan, one of the members of Andrea Sneiderman's defense team, issued a statement about the indictment. He also told reporters that his client was surprised and shocked that she was arrested and didn't have a chance to say goodbye to her kids.

Sneiderman attorney likely to seek change of venue; in-laws file for custody of widow's children

Meanwhile, Rusty Sneiderman's parents filed a motion in Fulton County Superior Court on Friday seeking emergency custody of their two grandchildren, ages 6 and 3. Esther Panitch, a lawyer who on Friday took over representation for Rusty Sneiderman's parents, brother and sister-in-law in the custody and visitation case, declined to comment.

Defense co-counsel Doug Chalmers said a response to the in-laws' motion will be filed early next week and "it will speak for itself."

"Rusty Sneiderman's parents, in a court motion seeking emergency custody of their two grandchildren, allege the maternal grandparents obstructed law enforcement and tampered with evidence in order to cover up their daughter's affair with convicted killer Hemy Neuman.

The couple's children now live with Andrea Sneiderman's parents, Herb and Bonita Greenberg.

"It is in the best interest of the children to be immediately removed from their current residence with their maternal grandparents," states the motion filed Friday. It cites the "ethically questionable conduct" of the Greenbergs and their son, Todd Greenberg.

Attorney seeks jailhouse deposition of Andrea Sneiderman

~snip~

Quote:
Sneiderman's lawyers have requested that Fulton County Superior Court Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane grant a continuance until after her bond hearing scheduled for Aug. 21. The 36-year-old mother of two is "focused on the charges made against her," according to the motion, which further states her incarceration has "limited their ability to effectively prepare for the deposition."
Quote:
Panitch also filed a motion requesting that Lane order Andrea Sneiderman's parents to facilitate weekly Internet phone conversations that had been taking place between Rusty's parents and the late entrepreneur's two children, ages 7 and 3. Doug Chalmers, a member of Andrea Sneiderman's defense team, had sent an e-mail to Panitch stating there would be no contact via Skype "at least until the bond hearing. We will revisit the issue at that time."
