If she was an exotic dancer or a prostitute then they should flatly state that. Saying that she was in the "adult entertainment industry" while traveling with two dogs is going to cause some people to think of something more depraved. Just some friendly advice

She co-owned an upscale escort service

Thanks Bessie.
Just for the record here regarding the recent arrest of Fuquah Cash with kidnapping and malice murder in the 1999 death of Heather Davidson...

Sherri was an Escort - its a stretch, but he may have made contact with her through her work.

I understand the gut feeling thing but I wasn't really on board with the Hilton theory. This one though is a different story. Not willing to rule it out.

Edit to #23: I have read she was also an escort in several news articles but whereas "she co-owned a service" is mentioned by several people no one ever names a specific source who said Sherri was an escort as well as a co-owner.

I covered Sherri's disappearance on a recent podcast episode. Her segment starts around minute 16 for those of you who want to skip to it.

This is a stretch to say the least but was she in the military? The one picture looks like it could be. The reason I ask is they found an UD in Georgia that was wearing a ring, that said Korea. Like I said, its a stretch.

Sherry Holland was also from Marietta. That's where she grew up, went to high school (I was student same school, same time) and it is where her parents still lived at time of her disappearance. And, as far as military picture, she was in ROTC in high school. That was where picture in uniform was taken.

I am helping the host of a Podcast, Unfound: A Missing Persons Podcast do research into missing escorts in the Jacksonville, Florida area. I am needing to talk to someone who personally knew or has done research of their own on Sherri Vanessa Holland, Theresa Hickmon and Angela Westberry's case. If you could please get in touch with me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Emily

Though my research and episodes usually aren't as in-depth as Unfound's (I'm a big fan) I did cover Sherri in this episode:

"It’s our hope and it’s my personal prayer that we do find Sherri Holland out there in the woods tomorrow to bring some closure to this family," Callaway said.

Callaway said the anonymous tip leads him to believe Holland's remains were found abandoned beside I-75 in August of 1996, along with a flat tire.

In an interview with Winne, Callaway showed him the nail in the tire.

Holland's remains may repose be in a patch of woods that Morrow police plan to search on Wednesday with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Clayton County Sheriff's Office deputies and four cadaver dogs from South Carolina.

"The tipster has said that there were some items found that were purported to be Sherri Vanessa Holland's personal effects," Callaway said.

New tip could lead to remains of woman missing more than 20 years

Search comes up empty following tip of missing Flagler Beach woman

The latest search is over and police are still no closer to solving the mystery of a missing madame who vanished after leaving her Flagler Beach home nearly 22 years ago.

Sherri Holland was last seen Aug. 16, 1996, packing up her car and leaving her house at 2226 S. Ocean Shore Blvd. Her BMW was found eight days later along Interstate 75 in Morrow, Georgia, near Atlanta.

Last week, a tipster reached out to the Morrow Police Department with information that led to an extensive search of a densely wooded area close to where authorities had found her abandoned car, Morrow Police Chief James Callaway said.
