I've been watching the Town of Dryden too! lol! Great minds right? Horrible all the tragedies that befell that small town. Almost like someone broke a mirror and they had 7 years of bad luck.

Yeah that's crazy what all happened there!

Well having been in the Lake Sinclair area for 20 years............I KNOW how easy it is for someone to come up to the docks and on the property without suspicion or even being seen.....scary really

Its soo dark, SO DARK at night, and all you ever see on the lake and coves are fishermen..,if anyone ever actually sees....Ive had things stolen and no one saw a thing, and houses are very close there unlike L.O. so that means it's much easier

go camping in the woods on a new moon. waning or waxing crescent.....that's the lake,dark peoples house lights are out, few have dock lights but that doesn't mean you can see a cove or who is boating by, the lake itself is dark and big, and Oconee is even bigger
 
Does anyone have a link for the last update on this case? I google Dermond murders and haven't seen an update in a long time maybe i'm searching wrong
 
Thanks Colette I don't recall seeing that update. I wish SS would give more details I can see why he doesn't want to give out certain information but I feel he knows where they were killed, how and about when. He says he had a few things his office was working on and apparently they didn't work out so he could put that in an update since it didn't lead to any arrests. May is around the corner hopefully we will hear more news then

Why isn't the sheriff investigating them?
 
Foxfire might be right according to SS he has gone through all options. Were these cult members legal residents ? I'd like to know more about this cult so i'll start my research

Cultish contraband network with worshipful artsy ideas that justify crime and whatever else, but built mostly around the complex notion of a tax haven and influence peddling with tentacles anywhere it can go, increasingly losing it's luster as such. Just an impression.
 
They are legal U.S. citizens, hockeyguy, haven't known them not to be. they just chose Putnam Co for some reason.......running from arrest in NY...............You can search wolfscratch online too, that was FF....to find other posts and comments outside of WS.

BUT...there are several scenarios IMO that are quite plausible in regards to who did this....We can use the facts we have and we can make each of them fit, seems there is atleast one major factor in each that makes them seem quite likely those persons/groups were the perps in this crime

There is one that is typical and you simply follow the money....who gained?

On the same token, each of these scenarios leave every one is perplexed and in denial, finding it unblievealbe that the suspected parties could or would not need to do this to this couple so therefore in their mind, none of these scenarios are plausible

The problem is, you cant be naive AND realistic at the same time and deny that ANY ONE in these scenarios would commit a crime so heinous or actually behead him and toss Mrs D in the lake

SO which of the most plausible scenarios, would we believe that the PERP WOULD actually behead him and go to the great lengths to sink her in the lake?

HG, you'll find FF theory very plausible as well, as did I............so far there are several scenarios that i still find plausible....this is one of them but Im not sold 100% ON ANY of them just yet, still have doubt sand questions in some minor form or fashion even tho with the facts I have I feel I've done my amateur homework LOL....but .someone did do this to them

If we can find the "WHY" then well have our killer

tentacles as in their people were infiltrating themselves into every aspect of the city/gov't whatever............DY a child molestor etc, imprisoned and PCSO SS took the first bulldozer to the compound and if IIRC, about 1/3 of the confiscated property went to PCSO, others to gov't and GBI? Check into it. DY has fought and appealed as much as he can and each denied

At any rate, this is what other religions coming to the U.S. proclaim to do, infiltrate, befriend and behead, and TAKE OVER......

My question is if they did this to make a statement they missed the part of leaving their mark.. I mean ok maybe they murdered them but where's the fear if they don't claim responsibility?
 
Maybe they could have sent a message to SS and he is just holding it back .
 
I'm beginning to think I've been too rigid sticking with my theory that this was a hired hit.
In another case here on WS, Jubal Alexander, who was found decapitated in his truck, was decapitated 3 days after the suspect shot him while he was sleeping in his truck. The perp, whose trial ended today with a guilty verdict, read online about how much investigators can tell from a bullet. So, he went back 3 days later and removed the head. LE has not found Alexander"s head.
Don"t know why he shot Alexander to begin with but maybe the murders of the Dermonds was not as organized or planned the way I originally thought.

If you could ask SS any 1 question about the Dermond murders what would you ask?

What ever did they make of boot shoe or foot prints they investigated early on..... Does anyone remember that, investigators were out looking for or casting some, can't remember, nothing else was ever said about that

Sorry I have 2, where all did they use luminol and was there any blood in the yard anywhere
