I have been on this man like white on rice since day one because I felt he intentionally did this to his adorable little son. I was so relieved today when the Judge said this could wind up being a death penalty case.
Yet I had a different reaction to the sexting today than I thought I would have.

Instead of it convincing me he is guilty as the sin he committed it actually has puzzled me somewhat.

And the detective did make a point to say that Harris seemed well versed in the law and its terminology. We also know he looked at different sites pertaining to the criminal justice system.

So while I cant even stand to look at him.... I don't think he is a stupid man by any means. So why would he do all of the sexting and sending a photo of his erect penis on the very day that Cooper died?

He had to know that his computers, both home and work, and cell phone would be taken. Even one that doesn't even keep up with cases closely knows that just by watching normal tv shows.

If he had preplanned all of this out it seems like to me he would have made sure he was either busy doing HD work all day, texting someone and mentioning Cooper in a positive way or emailing someone at the church. That way it would appear like he was a good guy just going about his day at work.

So instead of it convincing me it was premeditated .....for the very first time ...that part just didn't add up with the preplanning. In fact it has left me very puzzled.

that was the most amazing part of the whole day for me -- the fact that Judge said that out loud to everyone was just blissful. Until that point, I really don't think JRH and his supporters thought it would go that far.

oh I think you are definitely onto him!!

He would most likely say:

"all you care about is Cooper...you have no time for me...etc etc. I miss the old days when it was just you and me..."

Yes, that's what I picture

I'm thinking that he wisely omitted sending a picture of his face to those six girls. Probably wouldn't have gotten any responses if he had ...

To prove it was just a "normal" day? Because he is that arrogant that he never expected that LE would not believe him? Because he thought ahead and decided that he could use "sexual addiction" as the reason that he "forgot" Cooper?

With this man who really knows what was going through his mind. But I do know one thing, this was not an accident.

MOO

All of my hope that he had drugged Cooper....gone. :(

Toxicology not in yet, I don't think. He could have put something in his food at Chic-fil-a. JMO

There's an old saying, "a stiff _____has no conscience." I think it applies in this case.

I think his thoughts turned to being CHILD FREE and that excited him. Yes, sexually.

All IMO

After watching the video related to death in hot cars and searching all the info and then leaving his son strapped tightly in his carseat to die that way....he is doing his business. Anyone else think if he had gotten away with this that he could have progressed into a sadistic serial killer? eta

I think he'd kill anyone who got in the way of his wants, his needs, yes.

I'll be interested to hear community response from the football parents now.

Maybe that's exactly WHY he did it. Because people would say, wait, he was in LE. He knew is computer and phone would be looked at. Therefore, it MUST have been an accident.

Just jumping off this post for the topic of pick-up from daycare. Why did RH ask what time his wife was picking up his "buddy?" What did it matter if she was the one doing it that day and he was going to the movies anyway? That seems hink to me. It seems he sent the text as a set up that would be discovered on his phone eventually by LE. Is there not a set time for picking him up? JMO

He thought it would be proof that he really and truly thought he had taken Cooper to day care?

Football parents? Sorry, I haven't been on this thread til today. Well, I took a look but didn't have time to read through the whole thing

IMO no. The reason I say this is Harris is not a "catch". Harris does not have a fantastic job, doesn't have lots of money, hell he wasn't even faithful to her. Leanna is a college educated woman. A woman that has close friends and family. She was not a stay at home mom who depended on Harris to support her. She worked as well.

Leanna's own words, at the day care and when she reunited with Harris, say it all. She knew what he had done but was worried that he would throw her under the bus as well.

And if he weren't a narcissist who'd already cheated on her once, had a "wonky willy" in the marital bed but was perfectly capable of sexting his erect penis to other women, I'd totally agree with you.

I respectfully disagree -- because a narcissist knows how to "pick them" (and by that it could be almost anyone). They can figure out rather quickly how much grooming and bending it will take to wrap someone around their finger and while they like a challenge, they won't waste their time on someone they can't control. And by that, I mean control when it counts for HIM -- he might have encouraged her to pursue interests and hang out with girlfriends for all we know... but if he did it wasn't because he cared about her. It was either to give himself free time (for sexting & hookups?) or to appear to be the perfect husband.

Because he married her, I'll bet that he knew how to play her like a violin, knew how to work her guilt, knew how to play the victim and gain her sympathies, etc and so on... so she might be mourning the loss of her son, but she could also be addicted to trying to be his "everything" and she simply cannot accept that he is a monster and will bend over backwards to make excuses for him so he won't leave her AND it's painful to admit to yourself that this person you love & believe in DOES NOT EXIST AND NEVER REALLY DID -- educated, pretty, doesn't matter. It's especially hard on someone who is intelligent, IMO, because you're constantly questioning things -- it's always on your mind, and it can take over your life. They may have disagreed & argued from time to time (probably in her moments of clarity) but the sun rose & set on Ross's arse. So it's possible that she's trying to "be strong for Ross" and that the realization & gravity & pain & anger won't set in until she has been free of him for some time and can "see the light."

IMO, LH should be very relieved he is behind bars because who knows -- two weeks, two years, ten years from now.... she could be next on his list of inconveniences!

That is, if she's not as narcissistic as he is -- just like Stoddard says, "we've only scratched the surface" -- it will be interesting to see how it develops and her comments & behavior thus far come into play over the long haul.

Respectfully, MOO

I don't think any company would consider someone sexting on the job to be a good employee. Unless it a *advertiser censored* production company, LOL.

True :D but evidently they weren't aware of the sexting or they would have fired him on the spot I would think.

I was under the impression that all computers were monitored by large companies but he did this from his own personal cell phone, right???? I missed that part when I was watching today.

IMO

He parked in a spot next to some grass. So that limited the number of cars that could park near him. Hmmmm JMO

Harris was supposedly a ref for football at some school, I believe that is correct.

This is something I don't understand. When I worked for a large telecommunications company from 1997 - 2008, our computers were monitored and we knew that. All e-mails, searches, etc, were owned by the Company. Fast forward to 2014 - they absolutely have to know what was going on in their computers(IMHO). Most large companies these days know what their employees are doing. We had a large HR department that focused strictly on internet searches - for their own liability.

Mel

Our congress critters and other govt workers watch it on the job too. It is sickening

At this point, I don't think I can give Leanna that much credit. I'm waiting on LE to arrest her and am of the opinion that they should have done so before now.

MOO

I haven't quite caught up with the video of the hearing yet. I am guessing the searches she made were not mentioned at all?

It seems that he must have at least threatened her with doing this, from comments I heard today that she made at daycare, how she instantly knew his dad had left him in his car. The warrant already states she searched it specifically because she was worried it would happen. They seem to have shown enough evidence already to show she at least had some from of advance knowledge and failed to protect the baby.

If she was in any way involved, are they not concerned about her disappearing? I notice he was denied bond.

Has anyone seen any media reporting Leanna leaving the courthouse? Did anyone in the media ask her any questions? Did she or the family make any statements?

Not that I have seen. But just seen a replay of Leanne in court -via NG, if I didn't know who she was, she was so non chalant, uninterested, the news people were more interested than her. IMO She knew, just by her remark at daycare.
