what did molino do to try to get her to come forward?

Remember when the police were searching her and her husband's properties? She told the media that Jaycee "needs" to tell the truth and clear her (Molino's) name.

lmao what could jaycee possibly know to clear molino? she never met jaycee right? lol

Maybe Garrido believes Jaycee's free speech was to spout his brand of religious garbage, you know that "heart-warming story".:furious::furious::furious:

well said cyndy! :woohoo:
ill go one step further and say he's trying to manipulate her. if that guy from the media attempts to give that to jaycee, both him and garrido should be brought up on obstruction charges

I agree.

In his first interview he hinted at some story that Jaycee was supposed to tell. Well he has been watching the media and he hasn't seen her telling his story, the way he wants it told. So in his mind, someone must be keeping her from speaking. It hasn't occurred to him that she may not want to speak. Or if it did occur to him then he is hoping that if media contacts her and starts asking questions that it will remind her of what she is supposed to be doing.

He knows that he would never be able to speak to her. So instead he writes to the media and hopes they are able to get to her. He is trying to use the media as a go between to get to Jaycee. And I think it would be very unethical for media to try to pass messages from G. to Jaycee. If he keeps this up they will need to slap him with a restraining order.

It is pretty ironic though that G. is accusing others of violating Jaycee's rights when he violated her right to free 'speach' and her right to free movement, her right to the pursuit of happiness and her right to choose a spouse for over 18 years.

BTW how would he know that she requested an attorney be present from the beginning to the end of her questioning? I think that is a lie or maybe the first sign that she wasn't following the instructions he gave her. He would never have been allowed to witness any part of her interview so there is no way he could have known whether or not she requested an attorney!

I think you are correct. He is one sick . It must frustrate the snot out of him that he can't manage her.

Let's hope that supposed wall of protection is as high and strong as many think.

In terms of spelling, I remember reading the statement a 25 year-old Garrido wrote in 1976. What jumped out was that he spelled the word "control" with a "y." Considering the man didn't even finish high school or bothered with a GED and it wasn't due to financial reasons or other hardships but simply lack of will, I assume Garrido is, in fact, stupid.

Yes, even stupid people can commit great evils, especially when their seem to be dumber than dirt (e.g., not bothering to consider all those electrical cords running from the back of the house to the extended backyard; the latest PO saying to the Berkeley cop, who expressed concern over Garrido's daughters: "He has no children. Maybe they're his grandchildren.")

She believed that the cops were looking for child *advertiser censored*, I'm guessing of Jaycee and/or the kids. If there was no such thing then Jaycee would have been able to set them right - that is probably what she was talking about. We don't know what the cops were actually looking for though, they may have told her that just to put the fear of god into her. I think they were probably making sure there were no other pictures/videos of the kids and/or Garrido lying around that could be leaked, since this woman apparently (or so she seemed to be claiming) was friends with Garrido.

well the letter got to her attorney. but im thinking that should get an RO Or an obstuction charge. district attorney or states attorney should look at this

Btw, keep in mind that they don't have spellcheckers in prison (or at least I assume they don't), so I wouldn't read too much into the spelling of his written work prior to and after being locked up.

It wasn't sent to her lawyer, the reporter read it to the lawyer and asked for comment. PG wasn't involved in that.

he wrote the letter and gave it to the media idiot. of cours he was involved, media idiot couldnt give it to jaycee so gave it to her represtitive

Garrido knows how to get his message out.

I think you are right. I think that is what the allegation that her right to free speech being denied was about, and also the allegation that she was denied an attorney. There is no way he could have known that even if it did happen, so by his making the claim it makes me think that it didn't happen.

But he chose those particular allegations because he knew it would make the reporter want to get confirmation or denial from Jaycee herself.

They probably would have been interviewed together initially. She was split off later and interviewed separately. I believe the PD did that when they were called in.

The PO would have initially tried to figure out who all these extra people were and probably questioned them together. The scenario would play out with them becoming more defensive and further arousing suspicions. At some point they probably clammed up and starte demanding lawyers, at which point the PO called the cops since it was obvious that something that they were hiding something. I am guessing that is what PG is referring to.

It is an interesting letter in the sense that it gives us a little bit of insight into what might have happened that day.

I agree with others on the thread: Garrido is trying to intimidate Dugard. He's grasping now. Remember, in his mind he "needed" to control Dugard. Without that, he's probably finding it rather difficult to cope. That's what happens when you spend a lifetime projecting your failures onto others and refuse to take responsibility for your own matters. Without a scapegoat to brutalize and hold hostage, you're left with just yourself.

This is what happens to batterers, which Garrido also is, when they're sent to prison while their wives or girlfriends are still alive. It's like they go through psychological withdrawal. To them, not being able to hold these women prisoner is like being drowned (I once heard a batterer call it "oppression"). I'm guessing Garrido is going through the same thing. To him, Dugard and the girls being free from his torturous captivity is hell (Even if you assume Garrido never raped the girls, holding them captive was cruel and inhumane).

the argument is absurd though. jaycee wasnt in legal trouble and didnt need a lawyer.....even if she thought she did

PG has no control over what the reporter does or doesn't do. He didn't request that the letter be given to Jaycee, so why are you suggesting that was his purpose? Your argument has no logic.
