People attack Trump for wanting to better vet the people coming in. That needs to happen. I have no problem with immigrants who come here to live like us and work. The problem is too many come here, get on gov't assistance and NEVER go to work. It is a fact that many children raised in a household were no one works, and the family survives on a gov't check, never go to work themselves. The truth of the matter is too many are not coming to escape war, but for the economics. Many are not even from warring countries.
My simple view is that the ones who come should receive limited assistance and then have to make it on their own. And any record of violence or illegal activity should send them packing back to their homeland.

Wonder if this is a bit similar to the end of the Boston Marathon case, and the perp is so badly wounded he is just lying (dying?) somewhere, just waiting to be captured / killed?

He has had a huge amount of time to attack a second target - if he was even remotely able to stand up and stumble into a train station etc... with the pistol he took from the scene of the first attack.

If this was meant to be a suicide mission he could have found any number of locations to get himself shot by the police by now.

Yes,I said earlier he has to be injured from the looks of the windshield and being in a crash.I think he would at least have scratches or cuts to the face or head,arms.This may be how he will be captured either seeking medical treatment or someone noticing his injuries and alerting authorities.

According to RBB the suspect Anis Amri apparently stopped in Berlin-Moabit shortly after the attack on the Breitscheidplatz. According to RBB, corresponding camera images are available. The 24-year-old is allegedly seen on the nights of 14 and 15 December and on Tuesday night, only a few hours after the truck attack at the Breitscheidplatz. The location of the observation was a mosque in Moabit, which was searched by the police on Thursday morning.

I can understand what Merkel thinks due to the past but the actions of her government are reckless. My best friend was in Germany visiting the Christmas market the weekend before last and this tragedy could easily have happened then and I could have lost her. Putting up concrete road blocks, vetting people entering your country, and carrying out intelligence gathering is massively different to the horrific actions of Hitler and his government. I don't think the two situations are comparable at all but I respect your view too.
