Three people have died in Ghana from the Marburg virus, a highly infectious disease in the same family as Ebola for which no treatment yet exists...

It is the first declared outbreak of Marburg virus disease (MVD) in the country, and the second in west Africa after Guinea confirmed a case last year.


 
^^^^Marburg virus was first reported in Germany (1967) & Slovakia.

It originated with monkeys imported for research.

I've been reading about this for days. I hope we get on top of it before there is a deadly outbreak! I know there is no cure but we must be better at contract tracing since Covid.
