One can purchase scanners that digitize film negatives, they are not super expensive. I think it’s also doable with a regular scanner and the right software, probably. I recall reading that there were tons of images in his digital possession. That would avoid the printing aspect at least.

<modsnip: his family are victims> I feel for her and I don’t believe she knew anything other than what he showed to her in his treatment of her, which only she knows. To start life over at her age, could be scary, or hopefully for her, liberating.
The "it is what it is" response makes me think she has experience with disappointment and mistreatment for a long time with no way to stop it. I suspect she's had to put up with a lot and was resigned to it.

That thing looks three feet tall or taller. The Icelandic dolls someone posted are only six inches tall.

The way it's encased in glass... very strange. Reminds me of Edith Howard Cook, the toddler daughter of an influential San Francisco family who died of natural causes in the 1870s. Several years ago, people excavating for a new house found her glass coffin and she was shockingly well-preserved for a 150-year-old corpse. There were no cemetery records so it took them a while to identify her through DNA.
Looks like one of those Time Out dolls, the same as those “someone” put at each of the graves when they were first discovered

The name Springfield is eye-catching. It is one of common toponyms in US. See map in Wikipedia. Nonetheless, knowing how the names are often created, it would be interesting to know if he ever lived next to/traveled to/went to school to next to one of Springfields.

Does he have property in Massachusetts? I thought I read that somewhere. The list of properties with which he's associated keeps growing. It's a might difficult to keep up.

I found the old psychological profile I did for LISK ( and by that I have always meant ONLY the killer of the GB4 ). I'm going to repost it here as a reference to what we MIGHT learn about Heuermann in the future. It will be interesting to see how many of the common patterns we find in serial killers also apply to RH.

Talk about a small world. I’ve been following this case since 2010 because I’m absolutely fascinated with True Crime, especially cases close to me. I live in Manhattan at W.26th and 6th Ave for the past 6 years (this man Rex’s office is literally 5 minutes walking distance from my front door on 36th). On top of that my fiancé is (a little bit older than Rex) always has meetings with architects, codes inspectors, etc. because he is a structural engineer that owns a contracting company (always needs drawings/layouts from architects - they’re all over our apartment). In that field they all generally seem all to know each other networking, etc. so I’ve been really trying to dig his brain on this one!! I bet you a lot of people know him as a ‘normal’ guy in that field.

Yes, these were the men who spoke about a girl who pulled scams on "dates" and it sounded like the men were referring to AC. One of the members suggested that one of their buddies said something to the effect that she wouldn't be a problem for much longer. I wish there was a good way to find the archived posts, here.

There's some discussion about AC (and the utopia g chatter) if you search "ripper69" in this (LISK) forum.

I can’t stop thinking about Shannan Gilbert and her family. So much a victim blaming by the police…. think of a recent victim Gabby P. Of course we don’t know if this monster is involved with her death but there are many questions.
The police perpetuate an unsafe environment for escorts by dismissing their families when they try to report women missing. This is heartbreaking.

After listening to Shannan’s distressing 911 call, I had many questions. During the call you can hear him/them teasing and taunting her. So much doesn’t make sense. My impression was that the driver was inside the house with her, wouldn’t a driver wait outside? Why didn’t he act like a driver? If she felt uncomfortable, he should have a let her get in the car and remove her from the situation. She was not able to tell the police anything about her location, so who made the arrangements for her?….the driver? If she had made the arrangements, she would have been able to give the police an address.

Not sure if this has been answered already, but Michael Pak, her driver , DID wait outside the house. It was when Shannan began acting strange and refusing to leave, that Brewer asked Pak to enter the home and help remove her from the residence. I've listened to the 911 call as well. Brewer seems frustrated, Pak seems clueless, and Shannan seems completely out of it and incoherent. This is just my opinion, of course, but I don't believe that Brewer or Pak ever intended to harm Shannan. What I do believe is that when Brewer and Gilbert left the home for a very brief period, they obtained drugs somewhere. And I think this may have been what added to Shannan's mental state.

All just my opinion.

Is RH more a "code inspector" than an architect? I would like to know more about his work. Is he responsible only for old buildings or also new buildings? When he himself needed a permission for his/brother's old buildings, did he have an (not quite legal) advantage to be an architekt, responsible mostly for codes?

Not too long ago, many used polaroid cameras to instantly get a photo. imo.

Was that Peter Brendt? He also posted here on WS.
I can't recall exactly how this went, but they either got Peter to do the show because I opted out, or I found out Peter was also going to be doing the show and that added to my decision to opt out. Either way, the notion of any " torso killer " or competing serial killers was just ludicrous , imo. From my perspective, the dismembered victims were likely dismembered because they could be traced to someone specific. It was done to hamper their identification. Why else would someone take the time to try to remove Jessica Taylor's tattoo ?

Again, all just my opinion.

Thank you, verrry interesting! and nothing wrong, only something yet unknown to us, unfortunately. About his childhood and teenager years I want to learn more, and I hope, we will.

Since he had an inordinate interest in 10 year old girls, I wonder if any very young girls went missing in the area of the beaches in the 90's, before he started getting girls on Tinder and Craig's list?
It's no coincidence that he chose girls from the internet marketplace who were 4'10" to 5' tall.
Megan Waterman was actually 5' 5''

"Heuermann has had no visitors in the Suffolk County correctional facility where he’s being held since his Friday arraignment, Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr., told CNN’s Brynn Gingras."

Good, I think. Who should visit him, if under a big, big shock for the next time? Does he deserve a visit?

'Would have been interesting to hear YOU on the show!

I also remember an early Tricia-hosted call-in show... where several WS members offered their theories of the killer. I believe PBrendt was included as well as TSpider, Dwntwnslm, and IGadget. Interesting to think about now as one suspected a duck hunter. Anyone else remember that??

I wonder, which women he contacted, if they had 10yo daughters? Offering himself as a friendly, generous (?) stepfather or something? His double life may have extended even to that perhaps.
