I am impressed at the speed in which both sides were able to get through the process of seating a jury.

I am of the opinion that trials can be won or lost during Voir Dire. It is crucial, and I must have faith that the proper people were selected. I will NOT allow the debacles of recent trials to cloud my thoughts. :no:

Trying to keep a positive outlook. Justice requires objective, critically thinking jurors. The D.A. must be able to weed out any stealth juror(s) that may be there with an agenda / derail the process.

I am praying for the Murphy Family. May they find the strength to withstand what lies ahead.

I'm glad to see this case has started and seems to be progressing along quickly!

Justice for Alexis!!! Justice for Alexis is also a piece of justice for Samantha Clarke. I still hope both girls can be located for their families to put them to rest.

Sending love and positive energy to the Murphy & Clarke families and also to the Harringtons (since I read Gil Harrington was in court, too).

Is this trial going to be televised somewhere? Online maybe?

Levi Page did an interview with Trina Murphy (Alexis's great aunt) and the Harringtons a couple of months ago. The interview was great to refresh my memory of the cases and I also learned a couple of things I didn't know as well. Today was very emotional in the court room. Jury selection took forever it seemed, but I am glad it did so that the jurors on the case are the right ones. Even with the media gag in place, enough people were aware of the case that they got excused. This was one reason I was happy for the gag order and the limiting of information made public.

The amount of supporters for the Murphys present was amazing and since the Nelson County courtroom is small, space was at a premium if you wanted to observe. I am hoping to be one of the limited few allowed in. I will post again as to my thoughts and observations.
