Cross examination of Melson has begun. Melson says things like calls, texts, certain notifications make it possible for towers to pick up a phones location. If someone doesn't receive a call or text then its possible their no data of their whereabouts is recorded, says Melson.

So, he's not disputing where her phone was but asking general questions about phone habits. Don't forget their phones were powered off that night too, which he is beating to death right now. ETA: for those not watching, he is saying if you were going to do something "bad" you would know to turn your phone off, right?

IMO

The defense attorney is trying to get the witness to testify to what other people are thinking. He's also trying to get him to answer hyperbolic questions as though they're documented statistics. Where are the objections from the state?

Melson says at 1:30 the morning of Dec. 18, Heather's phone activity was in the area of her home. Around that time is when she received the phone call from the payphone. Melson says Sidney and Tammy's phones showed activity in the area of the payphone.

So maybe Tammy is watching for her to get home and let Sid know shes there?

Well that explains what we all wanted to know for so long which is why that night and how did they get so lucky with the timing. She was home and her roommate was not, she had a date who didn't stay the night or her stay with him. So many variables for this to actually work. They were watching her. That makes me sick. IMO

Too many tourists on the cell tower in the middle of the night in December? Yep. That seems likely. This defense attorney is making me miss Truslow and his tics.
may be why Livesay hasn't objected .. defense is digging a hole with this line of questioning .. the jury needs to pay attention

ETA: yeah, what a coincidence ... both the Moorers' phones decided to go out on a date alone ..

I actually thought the same thing earlier! Where is Truslow when you need a decent defense attorney? I'll give him that.

IIRC, regarding her arriving home from the date and the call, date stated he took her home after midnight closer to 1:00??? Odd she didn't get any calls or texts while she was on her date which makes me believe more that they were stalking her.

SMH

IMO

So, am I alone in thinking that 5-minute call from Heather's phone at PTL is SM calling TM to say he panicked and didn't leave Heather's car at River Oaks? Begging TM to come get him, and TM is freaking out and yelling at him for breaking with the plan and for being so close to the house. TM finally gives in and flies to PTL as fast as possible to pick him up. Anybody else thinking that?

The reason I have a hard time buying this theory is because I feel like parking the truck at PTL further implicates them, as does using HE's phone to call SM. Why would they purposely, knowingly put her car closer to their residence and be the absolute last person of contact with her. If i'm on the jury I don't necessarily buy that which is partly where the hangup comes for me (in an objective perspective, that is. I know they are guilty; just playing devil's advocate.)
