VA is very secretive when it comes to investigations. From here on out, I wouldn't be surprised if the public knows very little.

wow, thanks!~

I hope you are OK, Paula...It's probably hard to be hit with this all in the last couple days. ((Hugs))

Side note to everyone else: We probably shouldn't be sleuthing the property owners...the Mods will step in soon. :)

Wondering if anyone might know- given JM's job at the hospital, is it possible he could've accessed a decomposition accelerant from the hospital? It just seems highly unlikely there would be that much decomposition in only 35 days, it doesn't make sense. Unless he tried to burn her body but I would think that the sergeant who found her would've mentioned that and the pants wouldn't have been intact. JMO!

Whoa, and we heard nothing about that?

I really wonder if we're going to be (happily) blown away with all they have on this guy & all the hard work they're doing behind the scenes. Justice is going to start rolling in for the families whose lives have been devastated by this monster!

If we say that the average temperature was 24 C, then decomp would happen in 54 days. However, this formula doesn't take into account bug and animal activity, which would rapidly speed things up. JMO.

I have also read in the past that the healthier a person is when they die the slower the rate will be when decomposing.

So he's being indicted - I would *die* if our firm ended up representing him for a crime committed down the street from us!!

The VA SCC is down today so we can't look up the registered agent (if an LLC) or officers (if a corp) for Mountainview. We may never know the owners of the company if "Mountainview Adult Home" or whatever was just a DBA for an LLC or corporation. If it is an LLC, we may never know the members as they are not usually listed on the site, usually just the registered agent is listed.

I use SCC sites for my work every day.

Here's that link we've all been arguing about. Nothing further to argue, thank you! lol

Report: #JesseMatthew to be indicted in 2005 Fairfax rape that police say connects him to #MorganHarrington death. #HannahGraham

Nope! Thanks, Heroine! :jail:

I am surprised that this is so surprising to people. For anyone who has lived in the country in the midatlantic/southeast and has seen scavengers (turkey vultures, crows and the like), it is more surprising when there any flesh to speak of after a while.

There's a second smaller drainage that empties into Ammonett almost directly behind the main house. I suspect it does not always run wet. That could possibly be the dry bed they referred to. It's the one I show in red here.

TY for sharing John Tate90210... Imo, searchers should focus on old family plot cemeteries for other possible unknown victims of JM's...
JT90210, do you have a topo map of the Anchorage Farm location where MH 's remains were located? TYIA

has anyone heard anything about a press conference about the new charges against JM?

I always love your input. Always informative, to the point, and well spoken, indeed!

A lot of it doesn't make sense. I read several articles about vultures. They have such a keen sense of smell that they hone in on the dead body within 12-14 hours after the animal (which is what they used) has died.

But I couldn't find anything that stated they are known to take away all the hair. Researchers aren't even sure where or how they roost. They are very reclusive when roosting.

Plus this was not nesting season so there was no need to remove hair to make nests. And it is highly likely even if they do take the hair sometimes they would take every strand.

And what is even more puzzling is the man said he saw vultures/buzzards circling on October 6th and didn't he say he smelled a foul odor?

And then we have the neighbors who said they shut their windows because of a foul odor and this was right before she was found.

While I have seen many carcasses in the road that simply disappear overtime that is due to the buzzards attacking the body but they leave the bones and fur/hair of the animal behind. It erodes away in time and disappears due to traffic going by and running over the flatten carcass shell and it gets caught up in the tires of many drivers' vehicles until it is no longer visible.

So a lot about this doesn't make sense. Especially the lack of any hair on the skull in just 35 days.

It does make me wonder if she was burned before being placed there since no flesh at all or hair was found at the site according to the officer who got a good look at the remains. He himself is puzzled. If vulture attacks happen often in that area to bodies found above ground leaving most bodies skeletonized due to buzzard activity I don't think he would have been as alarmed as he seems to be.

imo that is not accurate, per the tax records, that isn't/wasn't the property owner for 3193 / 3181...maybe DC was related to the owner, possible DIL

I removed the name in my original post so that we don't get in trouble here.
I have little doubt that the neighbor quoted in that article was referring to DC.

I'm not referring to the tree lines. I am referring to what appears to be a dry creek bed. It is in front of the tree line, behind the main house, and travels on to the neighboring property.
Not totally sure which photo you are referencing but if it is one of the two posted yesterday, I am fairly certain the dry creekbed you are describing is a ray of sun.
