Very interesting!!!
I just don't know what to think at this point. Longo does not strike me as the type who says things without good reason. I do think he must have real reason to believe HG could still be alive, despite statistics and despite searching grounds for a body. He seems like a sharp one. And not one to blurt out random Pollyanna quotes for the sake of it...
 
JMs mom lives in Nelson County...could they be searching her property??

Oh, not sure. I thought mother, but.could be grandma. Either way, its a family member who is not allowing a search and requiring a search warrant.
This is not confirmed that this is whats happening, though. It could just as easily be a person growing marijuana on their land and not wanting it searched, or a super private person (wouldn't surprise me in Nelson County. You don't move there if you like people up in your business).

They have to have probable cause to get a search warrant. Refusing to allow LE to search your land is not probable cause.

Okay! To me that points to it being a JM relative, or...related to trafficking.
 
Lord have mercy on his family if they have pot or anything not 100% square on their property. Because the prosecutor won't. the prosecutor would send then to jail for 50 years for an ounce of weed, if he could. Just for leverage.
 
I started websleuths during the Heather Elvis disappearance, so I don't have as much knowledge as many of you. For those seasoned sleuthers, how do the search efforts for HG compare to what you have seen in other cases (i.e. number of searches, longevity of scheduled/organized searches, multiple agency involvement, etc.)?
 
I would imagine (read hope) they've already searched his relatives' properties and houses. And, since they presume his innocence, I imagine they were welcomed to do that without a warrant.

Here's a thought, just to throw out there. JM was involved in the MH case for trafficking purposes. MH already had a head injury (though the cut was on her chin). Head injuries can cause combativeness. By reports, she was already being fiesty with strangers.

Perhaps she fought back. Perhaps he/they couldn't get her where she needed to be without causing her injury/death.

Perhaps Hannah was drugged unconscious. So she is where they need her to be. And, unfortunately, that could be anywhere.

Chief Longo stated that nothing would come out of his mouth that would quash hope. That shows gumption and inspired leadership. He's has a stellar track record. Take it at face value, under the circumstances.

I guess until a body is found, there is always hope. JMO Reminds me of Emily Dickinson's poem:

This sounds like a good guess to me...I have had similar thoughts. It could be that the MISSING girls are trafficked, and the dead girls were the ones who fought the hardest.
All pure speculation.
 
Could they be revisiting a connection with Alexis Murphy? RAT lived in Nelson County, on his SILs property...
Stop me if I am getting "too tin foil hattish"
