I wonder where Hanzawa's security cameras are, how long they keep the video files, and if the police checked with them. In my neck of the woods, I have seen drug deals take place in Denny's parking lots.
Maybe he chose Sunday night because it is the quietest night of the week and most people are home?
IMHO, SC was hell-bent on getting rid of his problem, which was not so much Charli as it was Joshua, although he was mightily angry with her for keeping the baby when he wanted her to "take care of it". He needed to be in control, and he could not control this situation. He'd made up his mind, picked a time, and he was determined to do it then.
What amazes and fascinates me about these types of killings is that the killer doesn't think about the consequences, and doesn't think he will be caught. It's like part of their brain is missing; the part that says, "but if I get caught, I will go to jail for a long, long time." The same mindset is at play with his brazen drug dealing. He doesn't think, "there might be security cameras and I could get caught." I keep saying he is stupid, but it's that arrogance, that "let them try and catch me" attitude that blows me away. And how he just ran his mouth and told lie after lie in his police interview, and even submitted to a polygraph test... Just feeling like everyone is going to believe him and it will all blow over and he will have his idyllic island life back. Or not thinking at all about what will happen after he does the deed.
So unnecessary and so preventable.
