So now we wait to hear how the defense responds to all this very damaging testimony. Apo told the jury on day one to expect to hear Steven's big lie to explain this all away.

Grandpa did say SC was home by 11:00 or 11:30..........0n Sat., Feb. 8.

Yes Saturday February 8th...not Sunday February 9th. So no testimony about his arrival home on Sunday February 9th?

There was a piece of rope and an a red pepper spray canister in SC's vehicle when Trevor Pechin repossessed it from SC. Hmmm.

SC drove his Forerunner truck to the police interview on Tuesday. They examined his truck and took pics. Pretty sure he wasn't dumb enough to leave the kidnap-kit in his truck. My husband says mace is used for the feral dogs on Maui.

Yes. Rather important, eh? Mr. Young seems an honest and good man.

On another note. Deducing from the testimonies so far, I think we can safely say that he was driving the New '92 Toyota 4Runner (with the uber sound system and broken window):

Friday night out with the brother's Kaiser;

Saturday evening, pulling into Grampa's at around 11-11:30pm;

Sunday morning to work 6:15am [to 3] & ??? The rest of Sunday???

**Now, very late Sunday night/very early Monday-- he drove his old, white Ford Ranger Truck, to meet Taylor & friend at Hazawa's! [Why now drive the Ford Ranger? & Where was the 4Runner?]

Monday, he again drove the 4Runner to Kaiser's to drop off KK's pack (& DK's phone).

Tuesday, per NL: "SC drove his Forerunner truck to the police interview ...They examined his truck and took pics.

[...working on the rest of the week & after.]

Oh man. This is critical that the dates are correct. I just re-read the article and the whole conversation appears to be about Saturday evening, February 8, 2014 and Sunday morning, February 9, 2014. :foreheadslap:

Thanks.

I agree. And that was in March. It wouldn't be relevant to the February events.

Same Nikki. I'm dating timeline and started typing 2/8 Carlos Young see Steven come home at 11-11:30pm although important that he was not stuck... it changes his timeline Sunday leaving it wide open if so.

Maybe he ditched Charli's truck at Jaws on Sunday night and put all the gross stuff including the doors and grill in his truck. A stripped car at Jaws wouldn't draw much attention.

Monday 2/10 he drops off bag to Kaiser. In 4runner?
But he was seen cleaning it Thursday 2/13 with bleach.

I think it's important to note that he had pepper spray on hand.

And he's dumb enough to tell the police, the Scott family, and Mileka Lincoln that his truck (4Runner) was stuck on Hana Hwy. after he'd told Kurt Kaiser that it was at his work on 2/9 and after his grandfather saw him drive it to work in Paia on 2/9. So I am not going to underestimate his stupidity.

Oh but he told a BIG lie...Apo said so . Makes it all ok.
Not.

His alibi would need to account for the hours of 8:30 pm, 2/9/14 to 12:30 am, 2/10/14.

Kapua, he's cocky enough to run his mouth but not dumb enough to have the evidence in his car when he arrives at the police station. ;)

I had no idea they searched his car for a voluntary interview.

Thanks.

Wait, Napili, interviews were in February. I found a link.

"Maui Police Detective Wendell Loo returned to the stand where he testified about two in-person interviews that were conducted with the defendant at the Wailuku Police Station on Feb. 12, 2014...During testimony, Sgt. Loo said Capobianco arrived at the station in his lifted Toyota 4Runner and described Capobianco’s demeanor as “casual.”

For the timeline: The first police interview in Waikuku was Wednesday. They asked him to come in Tuesday, but he was working and then driving out to Keanae to show the Scotts the spot where his truck nevah stuck.
Wednesday they interviewed him, then polygraphed him, then again and read his rights, no?
There was a follow-up police interview right after they had found the clothes and jawbone etc.. I forget which day, maybe the weekend. Then a final interview near end of February when he also took the two detectives out Hana Highway to show them Da Spot Nuthin Actually Happened.

I am not sure, but it could have been that last one where they went over his truck. They searched his residence at that time, IIRC, but my memory of the taped interviews is getting fuzzy now because I only listened to them once.

Saturday, 2/8 Steven tells CK he was going to go to work on a friend’s truck. In addition to working on a friend’s truck, Kupstas said she wrote down a timeline of her Skype

In March 2014, with $1,900 still owing, Pechin said he repossessed the vehicle from Capobianco, who drove it to Pechin's house. Pechin said he stored the 4Runner at his residence for "less than a week" before "the police took the vehicle for evidence." vehicle had been locked, except for the broken back window, which had a tarp and brick over it, Pechin said. He said items shown in a photograph of the console, including a piece of rope and red pepper spray canister, weren't his.
noted for myself.

Wailua Wayside Park, where Capobianco said he was picked up by the driver of the Toyota Corolla.

Possibly because TP was repossessing it as opposed to blood, etc. evidence?
Good idea, but the date is too early. He made payments in February. It got repossessed in March. Boy, there was no slack on that purchase. He couldn't have been very late at that point, and he had paid for a big percentage of the truck. I'm surprised he let it go so easily. Maybe there was more going on with him making him give up on it.

Sorry to keep posting this. I know its not all inclusive. helps me visualize. Please feel free to add/delete/correct/ etc..
