Hiding a body

I've never thought about how to dump a body, having never thought of killing anyone.

I think if it was a baby, I'd go the dumpster route, even if it was my own child. I'm pretty pragmatic...if I was more concerned about getting away with it, I'd find a random dumpster at night. (and knowing me and my lack of attention to detail, I probably wouldn't remember which one.) I certainly wouldn't park next to it!

If it was an adult, I'd have to have help with disposal, and I can't think of a person who cares about me enough to help out with that! Unless I'd thought out the murder carefully, I'd just assume there was no way out other than to hope I came up with a good excuse. A really good one. not like inventing a job or something!

My elderly (now deceased) grandmother had a freezer in her garage. After she was no longer able to take care of her cooking needs, for some reason, none of us thought about cleaning out that freezer.

One day, a horrid stench filled the garage. I thought it was bad garbage at first. It turned out that the freezer had quit working (and we hadn't noticed) and a 25 pound turkey was rotting in it!

It was HORRID. We had to get it off the property it stunk so bad. So my parents drove around with it in their trunk (and their heads out the window so they could breathe!) until they found a dumpster where no one was looking. They were afraid someone would think they were disposing of something illegal!

I think Casey is just too confident that a body will not be found. And Lee is too confident also and I think he knows the truth. The only answer to me is she burned the body. I know LE say it can't be done but Joseph Duncan burned that little boy's body in Montana.

I think she either burned the body in a park's community cooking grill or in a home barbecue. I think she had help from a male who she had something on that she could blackmail them. Possibly someone in the military who had experience with death and burned bodies. I think he helped her somehow mask the smell.

The other night I was half way watching Dirty Jobs on reading posts here , they were drilling wells (oil I think ) . I don't know why but I got this weird errie feeling come over me .

Do any of you remember several years back the story about a toddler around Caylee's age falling down an abandoned well ? I wonder if there are any such abandoned wells in the area that Casey might have known about .

Another possiblity my DH came up with . Not to far from the Anthony's home on Narcoossee Rd. there is some construction developments going on . When we lived / worked in St. Cloud we had to go past these construction sites every day . He thinks they buried Caylee at one of the sites that might have been ready to have the concrete slab or footing poured . Nobody would know the difference , having the ground disturbed could go unnoticed .

It breaks my heart to think Caylee may never be found.

This is just in their area... You know where!1 What is that area behind their house?

After reading mystery books all my life, and watching tv, I think I can guess, or suggest many ways, no one would be found.
As for putting myself in that situation, I don't think I can do it.
(The following is not for weak stomachs, or people who can't stand anything gross)
I have heard of people chomping people up, ziplocing them up, putting them in the freezer.
I have heard of people feeding bodies to the hogs.
I have heard of someone wood chipping the body over a fish pond.
Cement shoes, which I would imagine would work extremely well in an alligator swamp.
I have heard of people sneaking into a place with an incinerator, which I am sure every college has, and would not be surprised if Universal has.
I have heard of someone sneaking into a crematory, and putting an extra body in with another.
If you have an imagination, good planning, and a heart of stone, you can find many ways to dispose of a body.

I always thought burying her would be the first choice because it's a way to hid the body plus the shovel that was borrowed as oppose to water that my surface. It's hard to think she would throw her into a dumpster and sent to the landfill. A couple put their 2 year olds dead daughters body into garbage bags and dumped them in a park in this area but the couple was just passing through so nobody know the little girl or the parents. I'm sure Casey didn't drive far as she couldn't afford the gas.

I remember when they said the dog picked up two spots in the backyard.

This is my theory, Casey borrowed the shovel, picked up the body, put it down in the backyard(spot one), dug a hole, buried her(spot two),to come back later to unbury her. Which would not leave an third spot if she just picked her up and took her to the trunk.

PS, Not positive how she finally disposed of the body, but she had plenty of time to think about it.

Finally semester 2 Profiling comes in handy.
People who kill someone that they love or are attached to usually will show some sign of affection to the corpse. Some parents bury them with a favorite toy or wrap them in a favorite blanket. They usually try to seal the body inside something so that the animals will not get to the body. They usually pick a place that the child was at least passingly familiar with, like near a park or lake or even near the house where they lived. They may even bathe, redress or the style the hair before the murder or body dump. Death is usually as easy as they can make it, drowning, suffocation or drug overdose (usually sleeping pills.)
However parents who didn't care about their kids in the first place aren't nearly as kind. They may bury the body, but it will be in a way and an area where they hope the animals will get to it. Or they will weight it down and toss it in the water. They will have no desire to visit the body again, so the placement doesn't matter. there will usually be no special items with the body. Parents who don't care shoot, stab, strangle or beat their kids to death.
I know this will be brutal to read, but this is what we're dealing with. reality bites.

Now that you mention the thing about burying kids with a favorite toy or blanket...

I think I read the Texas Equusearch people found a child's plush toy yesterday in the area they were searching - it was dirty and had been outside for a while. Hmmmm...there are lots of pictures with Caylee and all her plush toys. I wonder if it matches to one in the photos? Would that be enough to explain the sherriff's presence and Equusearch stopping their search efforts? Maybe they realize the body is nearby, but possibly in water? Of course, we have no way of knowing if this toy was a match to Caylee's toys, but it seems like this might explain things.

Just a thought, Susan Smith and Scott Peterson both used water.....My guess would be in a body of water, maybe with weights of some sort?

regarding dumpsters....there are designated type dumpsters/roll off containers, some are just used for construction/demo debris such as remodeling jobs at apts, businesses. when these rolloffs are pulled they do not go to the normal landfill. they would go to recycling facilities. so if by chance CA had concealed Caylee ie box, duffle bag, and randomly threw her in one of these type containers, when on site during the separation process of debris, i don't know if done by hand or machine how closely it is examined. Although poss decomp smell may draw attention. don't know how many privately owned recycling plants are in the orange co area. Just a thought...

I just can't get over the area..behind the house.. it is hop skip & jump. Thinking about her saying "close by".. plus she would not need much gas.. god forbid she wouldn't want to waste gas on that...

Who better to ask than another Sociopath.... any sociopaths on the board tonight?

I have said from day one and i still believe that sweet baby peanut is in the OC Landfill on Young Pine Road, via a dumpster in the back of a Hotel in Belle Isle.

I tend to agree with this. She is clever enough not to put the body where the car is sitting. She was probably going to try to explain the smell in the car as the odor from the dumpster but fortunately that part of her "script" didn't work.

I think it is highly probable that she or George buried Caylee in a freshly dug cemetery plot (ie: Greenwood) after temporarily having placed her in the backyard and car trunk--perhaps next to or near Jose Ortiz's--Caylees assumed father as per Cindy)

Cadaver dogs would NEVER be able to locate an accurate scent there, and a freshly dug grave would be "soft" and easy enough to dig up--like 2-3 feet deep. A new grave would likely have flowers on top which would disguise the fact that it had been disturbed again (grass wouldn't have covered it) . The hole would not have to be that big either--Caylee was tiny.

JMHO!

I made it a point to speak to a professional K-9 unit this weekend and asked if their dogs would be able to pick up on the scent of an un-embalmed body as opposed to an embalmed one and they stated very matter of factly YES, the dog would pick it up. So we have that in favor of finding Caylee even if she has been placed in a cemetery. I agree, Caylee is not far as I feel KC is one not to venture too far so SHE can feel "safe".

After listening to NG tonight, I firmly believe that Casey alone is responsible for Caylee not only being dead but her body not being found.

I think this act was to show Cindy and George that they messed up when they threatened to take Caylee away from her and threatened to kick her out on her own. She was going to make them wish they had never said that. The timing is just too coincidental and I do not believe in coincidences under this kind of situation.

Some of these mothers who murders picks areas of water or around water.

A part of me wants so much for Caylee to be found and brought home but another part nags at me and I don't think she will ever be found.

imoo

Just finished watching NG and got an idea regarding garbage bag inside of Casey car. Remember, this garbage bag (with pizza and other stuff) was trow-away by George at tow-lot and later on picked-up by LE. I'm sure that LE done investigation of the contest of the garbage because...here is the scenario (please forgive me for such a graphic idea): Casey covers Caylee's body in plastic bag or rug and placed it inside of large garbage bag. She doesn't need to worry where to trow this bag or bury the body...why not just drive around the area where people placed their garbage cans ready for garbage truck to pick-up. I'm sure different county has different 'garbage' pick-up date. So, why bother with hiding the body? Just exchange/switch the bag (the one with Caylee's body) with any other garbage bags from any stranger's dryway! I don't know about FL law regarding garbage pick-up and where usually people placing their garbage and at which date of the week. If this theory is correct then contest of the garbage bag which was in her trunk should have some newspaper, or portion of mail which points to address or county of completely stranger person...I always wonder why Casey has garbage bag in the trunk. She stayed at TonE's appartment and plays such a nice/clean 'housewife'...why store garbage bag in the trunk if I'm sure TonE's place has some garbage disposal facility? Why keeping it?...but she was driving with the garbage bag inside of the trunk. The most I think about the more I convinced that this garbage bag was not her, it was the 'exchanged' one....just an idea. Otherwise, she has it to have 'excuse' for the smell....no other explanation! IMO...
