Seriously sorry for all those more affected by this storm. :sheesh:
I am still catching a few pages back. Just have a question. My neighbors are out clearing branches from their yard. AM I Lazy for not doing mine ? Or, just cautious of ground soaked large trees that "appear" to be ok ?
No way I am going out to clean up. It is still windy and cold. BBBBrrrrrrr.
I'm sleeping today:waitasec:
Thoughts and prayers for the safety of utility workers who will be enduring the cold, wind, rain/snow as they restore power lease:

WOW ! 20 TO 25 foot waves on Lake Heron, Mi
Lower Manhattan transformers are exploding one after the other. Water pouring in to reporter's location. ConEd had hoped to avoid this, but no...will update as I hear it (on the link I posted above).
Just as an aside, I bet we see a huge jump in babies being born in just about 9 months from now...LOL...like happened with the great blackout in NYC a few decades ago. Liquor, cabin fever, and fear...yep, gonna have lots o' babies from this storm indeed.

I'm now debating what to keep and what to throw out from the refrigerator. . . .Hmmm. The stuff in the freezers is fine--even the ice cubes didn't melt. I'm thinking I may have the temp set slightly lower than necessary!
I haven't been able to reach my parents, but they are serious survivalists, living on a mountain w/ food aplenty and 3 generators.
We got out of school at noon yesterday due to wind gusts impacting our high-profile buses. No school today due to power outages and flooding. No word on tomorrow yet. . . .
