:giggle: My visual thought process thanks you for your imagery! Hehehe There's a show on CBS called Person of Interest. The last episode had someone in the main character's front closet... with at least 50 guns hung. It was very organized. ;) I'm not sure if leaving your loaded guns spread out is such a good idea, though. What if someone got to those before you? I hope they're at least hidden.

If the SCPD needed to re arm their SWAT team; I could probably do it myself. I am a gun nut.

Me and all my friends were in the ISS room together once (In School Suspension) and we decided to take it at 630am and sit in ISS room. We jumped out the window and left school by 930.

Holy carp, how did you last the two + hours after it kicked in, confined in a room??

There was 8 of us. We were messing with the poor substitute teacher they put in there with us. She had just graduated college (very cute too); I never did run into her again aafter that to appologize. Then we started peaking and it was just too much. Especially when we were told we werent allowed to talk anymore, and then they called our lacrosse coach on us and he was coming down to yell at us.

You're supposed to "set up" the environment for that so that you're not stuck in a classroom getting yelled at! But, yeah, youth - it's wasted on the young.

They said LSD was bad for us. Sure my memory is shot and I have gotten the famous "flashback" but I think an occasional trip is good for your spirit, your compassionate side, and your over all mental well being.

I will tell you one thing, I am glad we had acid and grunge rock when I was growing up. Not pain pills and crappy rap music. BTW the rap music in the grunge era was the best as well. I do have some vicodin in my medicine cabinet. Have had the same bottle for over a year and they do serve a purpose every now and again. Like when you are stuck in your house with a bunch of wine and a storm brewing.

Only way to be in times like this. My friend just called me and asked if he could borrow one cause there is a helicopter circling his neighborhood and cops zipping around. Told me he would return it when things were back to normal. I told him sure, pick one...I got twenty something of them. Gave him a semi auto 12 gauge..

I pulled 10 out of my safe and placed them around my house all loaded and the two in my shoulder holster and ankle holster. I live alone and do not have kids to worry about however.

I have not heard many instances of violence. I heard of a few fights at gas pumps but I have not heard any crazy story of cops emptying magazines. I will not be the first casualty you read about in the paper though.
I don't think you need that many guns at the ready, one 12ga shotgun should be more than enough. This isent the Alamo here ... yet.

Most people I know have one rifle/shotgun at the ready. As for me, I am too poor to afford guns :( I figure I will get a broken tree limb and tape a knife on the end ...

Now if the situation does not improve then I would start to really worry. My prime concern right now is people stealing gas right from your car tank. They drill a hole and byebye gas. With luck the gas stations should be returning to normal soon and the danger will go away.

PreciousDust, Thanks for your earlier post. Native, You have the right to remain MIND BOGGLED. Be careful. If you keep talking about how much you love your guns you might be mistaken for a Republican. With that said, lighten up a little. Your not standing guard against posters.

Justice, I think Truth was messing with Bessie about being a flower child and worshipping mother earth.

Some people do worship Mother Earth though. Different religions. I'm Christian (although not hard core) but I am very respectfull and interested in all religions and I do believe whoever you pray to and worship that if you believe firmly that they hear you they will answer your prayers and keep you safe. I think it's more important to just believe in a greater power than yourself. I also believe in the power of positive thinking.

I am a science/numbers guy and not a philosophical guy at all. I look at how infinite (or is it?) our universe is and realize we are a mere speck and there are things in this place that are way bigger than you or I.

It's very humbling to think about how miniscule and insignifigant we are in the scope of the universe! I guess maybe that's why I find a belief God comforting. I'd like to imagine that there is a method to this madness. That I am not just a speck in the cosmos.

When we had the riots out here, I armed, was locked and loaded with 3 guns. One by the front door, one by the back door and one in the bedroom. In times like that you don't know whether they want to just steal your stuff or whether they want to do you real physcial harm. I'm not one to wait to find out.

Relegion is division. I am rasta.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rastafari_movement

The Rastafari movement encompasses themes such as thespiritual use
*of*cannabis and the rejection of western society, called*Babylon.

Rastafari is not a highly organized*religion
it is a movement and an ideology. Many Rastas say that it is not a "religion" at all, but a "Way of Life".

Works for me! Puff Puff Pass! ; )

The good news here on LI is things are getting better at the gas pumps. The lines are getting longer and that makes for more people interacting with each other. Many times you will see people getting out of their cars to talk to each other. This brings people together when before they didn't know their neighbors.

Andrew hasn't instituted Odd/Even days. That is probably due to the fact that on Friday he said all would be well late Sunday evening. How is he going to admit defeat by ordering a common sense partial solution to the long lines.

Too bad Andy wasn't running for office, I would have loved to vote against him. There has never been a bigger jerk in Albany ( he even makes Spitzer look good)

i waited 3 hours sunday and 30 minutes today. I dont know what that means; but maybe it means things are getting better. I think us <modsnip> are making it worse. Everyone is bringing everything they can that holds fuel to the pumps. I wish I still had the 250 gallons of diesel that was in my boat.

Stay warm East Coast sleuthers! If you don't have heat or a cuddle buddy find a shelter! Don't take chances on hypothermia!

I wish I was in San Diego or Florida with my daughter.
