Endangered missing person alert issued for Iowa teen who might be in Lewistown area
Clarissa M. Young was last seen early Friday morning, Sept. 17, leaving her home with Shawn M. Carrell, who’s 28.
(25News Now) - Illinois State Police have issued an endangered missing person alert for a 15-year-old Keokuk, Iowa girl who may have left for the Lewistown or Macomb areas with a 28-year-old man.
Clarissa M. Young was last seen early Friday morning, Sept. 17, leaving her home with Shawn M. Carrell, who’s 28.
Authorities are listing her as endangered because of “suspicious circumstances.” The two are believed to be in the Lewistown or Macomb areas, according to police, and were traveling in a white, 1998 Dodge Ram pickup truck.

KEOKUK, Iowa - The Keokuk Police Department and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation are issuing an Endangered Person Advisory for 15–year-old Clarissa Young. Clarissa was reported missing on September 27, 2024. She was last known to have been with Shawn Carrell. They may be traveling in a white 1998 Dodge Ram with a red hood. Iowa license plate OCG501 or Illinois 2797815B.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Clarissa Young and Shawn Carrell is asked to contact the Lee County Communications Center at 319.372.1310 or call their local law enforcement agency.
