and all he has to do is read People to remember what he had for breakfast. for all we know he was too hungover to leave the tent that morning and VDK/JM brought him a sausage and TOLD him that deorr was being a typical two year old and throwing stuff into the fire. he may have not actually SEEN him but that's all he remembers. IMO he never saw deorr that day. bob may have TOLD him when he woke up "oh you just missed them they drove into town for gas". isn't it ironic that the MOMENT he wakes up, less foggy than before, JM/VDK scurry off to town?

oh heck who packs eggs sausage and hash browns but has to drive into town two hours later for "snacks". c'mon.

I guess it's always possible that ggpa packed the food? IDK . But most babies I know, wake up and want something to eat in fairly short order, so I suspect DeOrr woke up and wanted to eat and the parents, hung over or not made him something to eat. (That is if he was there). They probably woke up IR (Who isn't used to getting up early with little babies) And told him breakfast was ready if he wanted to eat. He probably ate, went back to sleep cause it was too early for him (And I do think it possible they were all hung over) but don't know for sure. I think LE will know the gas situation. They surely know how much gas was put into the truck in Idaho falls, how much was put in it in Leadore, that will be a big deal IMO.

I'm so done with this. Too many story variations, too many lies. We need a confession and/or a body.

I think if I was IR, I too would be throwing crap at the parents, I think they've spent the last year trying to throw him under the bus. I just wish he did know more.

To me it seems that Jessica and Vernal maybe tried to somewhat collaborate their stories but forgot to clue IR in on it. Cause I swear they said they left the baby with GGPA and went to explore, and IR says he walked with Jessica down to the water with Deorr and Vernal following behind. Too many discrepancies IMO. I still think the story about leaving baby with ggpa was to avoid neglect charges on their part and make it seem like ggpa was negligent and not them ..but thats My opinion.

Im sure we have discussed this somewhere in the almost 30 threads... But do we Know how thoroughly cops searched Bob's vehicle before him and IR were allowed to leave? Did they process and search the suburban and the trailer? Including wheel wells, under the hood, under the floor in the trunk? I just want to be 10000% sure that there is no way Deorr's body left the campsite AFTER the search began.

You're correct. The parents claim GGP was the last person to see DeOrr and IR claims VK was the last person to see DeOrr. And the parents going exploring has now become the parents fishing, or at least JM fishing.

So... someone's lying - or maybe all involved are lying. About IR: Is he recalling false memories due to some sort of mental issue? Was he gaslighted by someone? Is he just plain lying? Why is JM now placing herself in the creek with a fishing pole? If she was fishing what was VK doing? And how come the creek has so many fishing holes anyway? Argh!

IMO all their statements smack of "story telling," meaning they sound rehearsed and a little artificial.

And did anyone catch any fish that day?

If you could have a sit-down with these people what would you ask them to clarify, BESIDES the obvious "where is your son" and "did you do him harm", etc.
I mean, what details are just sticking in your craw that you'd really like cleared up, that are roadblocks to making any sense of the timeline, etc.?

Vernal, are you 100% sure you are baby DeOrr's biological father?

Yes they did, and JM emphasized that she kept turning around to look at DeOrr until he was out of sight.

Every time I start trying to catch up on this thread, i am reminded of this little guy as well:

In that forum, there is also a reference to http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...issing-411-People-Vanishing-in-National-Parks

I watched a documentary/tv show about Jared not too long ago: - he was only 3 years old (1999), they searched for 5 days - I think they had to stop b/c of weather. There was no sign of him until 4 years later (hikers), you can read the rest if you want, it is just so sad.

Not saying this is the same situation, but there are a few similarities.

Yep it was Deorrs nap time, so they left him with gramps, saying he'll be ok or some such thing? Why didn't they just put him down for a nap then before they left?

Hang on. If it was his nap time, and they left him with grandpa, WHY did Jessica apparently freak out and start screaming the minute she headed over the bank and couldn't see him? I've mentioned this before and it's a sticking point. If she thought he was napping why freak out? Has anyone got the quote to hand about this please?

Even though IR states that, IMO I think it was the Thursday night that he saw DeOrr thowing stuff into the fire and not the Friday morning. IR was unsure if they even had breakfast on the Friday morning.

I was thinking that the camper might have a stove of sorts or even a camping stove. I don't usually get fire going that early. I tent camp & have camp stove for breakfast stuff. That point makes me consider it was the night before. Don't think they'd needed a fire for warmth. Yea especially w/ the reference to grandpa bringing liquor. Plus the seemingly pushing last minute for IR to be included.
Now actually even grandpa telling IR to show mom fishing spot seems planned. What done was done & on to the next phase. Maybe they all called 911 cuz they forgot who drew that straw so all jumped to it in short order. Brains scrambled, trying to go against nature & ignore that your flesh & blood is gone but trying to act in vain like your worried. Which they never seem to convey, to me at least.

Are they waiting for evidence to come back from the crime lab before they arrest Jessica Mitchell Anderson and Vernal Deorr Kunz?

What would be at the crime lab? It's been a year.

Someone can correct me, but IIRC they found some stuff in the last ~2 months at the campsite that they were sending off to be tested.

Edit: Here's a news article explaining that they found new evidence in the recent search. Link

Thank you!

Gosh darn it I about forgot about that...Thats right, she kept looking back and looking back, I thought that was an odd statement to make, and we discussed at nauseum if she was looking back like she said, then she would have seen him had he come over the bank. UGH! Yea her stories seem to change more than anyones IMO. But whatever it is, Vernal is just as involved IMO
