I wondered about that myself. His opinions are no secret to me, I have heard all this before except that part stood out to me as well. I think if he meant a great grand parent he would have said so instead of grand parent. JMO
I don't for a single second think that JMA is guilty of killing baby Deoor and VK is the innocent unknowing Dad. They are in on whatever happened together and thats why neither one will talk. If they say anything that happened thats truthful they also condemn their own behavior. In this tape he is furious at her but still trying to save his own skin. Makes me think he must have a really volatile temper. I wonder if J knew about this call before this was posted...... JMO! Just a speculating after listening to it again.
Yes I wonder if this is Klein's way of proving to Jessics that she can't trust Vernal and should turn on him.
It's all BS because for Vernal to expect anyone to believe that story then he is admitting his previous stories and timelines are false. There is no way J could have made Deorr disappear without V knowing according to the timeline V himself provided.
Many thanks @ReadySet for your help. I found a 2002 photo of the place where I think V bought diesel. Probably that big white thing is the pump. Back in 2002 it was called "Sorta Store" however by 2014 it might have changed name to "Fred's Place". Based on what ReadySet and someone elsewhere have said, prepayment by card in card reader appears to be required. However there is a small motel directly over the road. I am now trying to find out whether as an alternative to using the card reader it may be possible to prepay at the motel for diesel, for example if the card reader isn't working or if customers have only cash? http://protophoto.com/picture.html?pic=3073&g=296
Not sure the answer to your question but that photo comes from an amazing collection of photos of Idaho! I do not live there but my husbands family is from Idaho Falls which is actually what originally caught my interest in this case. The wild areas of Idaho are vast, and literally endless.

I haven't entirely eliminated this theory yet. I think they thought they would get more money than the 9k they pocketed too. Then they turned down Vilt's legitimate attempts to really find Deorr, i.e., the reward, the hotline, because they don't want him to be found, and they wanted to drag it out thinking they'd get more donations to steal from, JMO. Although if they did pass him off to someone else I'm not sure if she cares if she still sees him, but rather to get out of being a mother and to live her own self-centered, carefree life. And VDK doesn't have to be bothered with paying child support. jmo

Unfortunately, I think the idea of DeOrr being handed off and taken care of is far-fetched (and someone would have buckled by now). If he was handed off, it was not to nice people and there would be no happy ending. That being said, I don't buy any abduction theory at all. There are a lot less complicated ways to scam the public out of money, as well as to rid yourself of your child, if those were their intentions.... The reason they turned down reward money and help and publicity is because they want to get away with it and they want it all to go away as quickly as possible. I'm guessing it hasn't turned out exactly as they planned... All MOO.

Yeah, you're probably right. But I can't let go of a tiny bit of hope that he's alive and well. I think as you say, if that's what it was, they would have caved by now.

The mind knows what it knows and the texts to her mom telling her she started her period is rather odd, unless she was afraid she might be pregnant again a texted her mom to tell her the news. But anything other than than that is just plain odd. I think those texts were alibi building. I have felt that trip was to hide little DeOrr. If that is what they were doing, it would be reasonable to assume their guilty mind were trying to explain why they left camp when asked.

IMO She is one tenacious grandmother fighting for her Grandson Deoor and I commend her for that.
That being said, I hope she gets an appropriate search plan, search manager/organizer and LE support. The weather is changing rapidly, conditions might be harsh and someone official from LE needs to be on standby in case something is located. I wish Deoors own parents were the ones stepping up but sadly not the case and I am pretty sure why not. JMO...just speculating.

Is this to search the area that TBC claimed had never been searched? That was in fact the area that had thoroughly been searched by Klein's searchers and HRD dog Chase ? I wonder why they are wanting to search that area, and why wait until Oct. 1 ? Are they hoping for a big winter storm to move in?

Yes, I definitely think LE needs to be present for many reasons. I'm not sure exactly where they are searching and I'm not sure why now. June, July, and August would have made a lot more sense as far as searching.
However, this whole idea of searching WITH the suspect(s) is kind of weird to me. Supposedly they know where DeOrr is, so in order to support this search, one must feel that LE/FBI/Vilt/Klein are mistaken, or else one must be willing to play along with the charade and do some pretend searching. Honestly, if I was in a position to help search (I'm not), I would have serious reservations about this endeavor - what exactly are they searching for? It seems shady.
Agree, and in my opinion as well they need professional search manager and a proper plan. Its not a bad thing to go back, tiny things can be missed. Most general public searchers don't really know what to look for or how small it will be by now. And they also dont know how to tell the difference between human and animal bones. Its very hard to do so a trained support person from LE or SAR that knows is important to have on a search or a good HRD K9 would know. How to maintain evidence integrity is a big issue unless LE is supporting this event. I dont know if they are, I hope so. And like Desert Blue said, searching with suspects would make me go hmmmmmmm as well.
On another note, I have often thought the searches allowed and asked for by VK and JMA are in areas where nothing will be found because they don't want to get caught. But then if thats true, TBC may or may not know it.
Another thought I speculated about is that maybe there is a reason that two searches were planned on the same ground within weeks of eachother. FIrst one appears to have only included JMA and TBC, not that I know for sure.... but I think its either very poor search planning or flat out odd in my humble opinion.
I looked at weather forcast for Leadore that day its actually going to be sunny range 36-55 so for people showing up thats good.
