I think it is easier for Colby to see because he asked the questions and knows she lied to his face. Chad's kids believed the medical examiner mom died of natural causes, harder to see and I don't think they questioned him much. And I think it will be easy for them to shift the blame to LDV but they will have to face the truth one day...

I meant to ask this some time ago and forgot about it. If I’m not mistaken, the trip to Knottsberry Farm that CD took his kids on was over Thanksgiving. I never saw any of the pics but I recall 7 tickets were purchased by CD and concluded that was CD & LVD & the 5 Daybell children. But 3 of his children were married at the time and he had 2 or 3 grand children. So did his kids just leave their spouses and children at home during Thanksgiving to do this trip with CD & LVD? Or did they have to buy their own tickets for spouses and/or children? Either option sounds bizarre to me.

Count 2 (for Tylee): 1st degree murder. Count 3 (for JJ): Conspiracy to commit 1st degree murder & grand theft by deception. Count 4 (for JJ): 1st degree murder. Trial began on 4/3/23 with jury selection & ended 4/7/23. 12 jurors & 6 alternates (10 men & 8 women). 12 jurors (7 men & 5 women) will deliberate.
Trial began on 4/10/23 (everyday @ 8:30am to 3:30pm). Trial will be held in Ada County. (will last about 10 weeks) Trials have been severed. Trial ended on 5/11/23 with closing arguments. Jury started deliberations from 5/11 to 5/12/23: Total deliberations: ~7 hours & 45 minutes.

5/24/23 Update: Order for presentence investigation (PSI) report. Order governing Court conduct for sentencing hearing. Order to broadcast sentencing-Court entered a memorandum decision & Order prohibiting video & photographic coverage. The Court will livestream visual & audio coverage of the sentencing hearing thru its official YouTube Channel.
5/25/23 Update: James Archibald & John Thomas filed a "Motion for a New Trial" in the State of Idaho & Fremont County court system on Thursday — just under the 14-day deadline to do so. Attorneys are asking an Idaho judge to vacate the guilty verdicts against her & hold a new trial. Attorneys cited three instances of an Idaho state law (Statute 19-2406) that allows for a new trial to be declared: 1)"when the jury has received any evidence out of court other than that resulting from a view of the premises" (case #2 under the statute), 2)"when the court has misdirected the jury in a matter of law, or has erred in the decision of any question of law arising during the course of the trial" (case #5) & 3)"when the verdict is contrary to law or evidence" (case #6). Oral argument is requested. Request & Order of approval to photograph (EIN)-granted for pool camera.
5/26/23 Update: Order for Transport (for 7/31/23 sentencing date). Judge Boyce denies Court TV access to broadcast Vallow's sentencing but approved a pool camera for still photos. 6/1/23: Order on exhibits post trial. None of the exhibits admitted into evidence for Vallow trial will be released or unsealed due to State vs. Daybell case.
6/7/23: State's response to Vallow's motion for new trial. 15 pages outlining prosecution's argument for why the motion has no valid support. 6/9/23: Only Coby Ryan, Summer Shiflet & Kay Woodcock are permitted to rend victim impact statements for Vallow's sentencing. Brandon Boudreaux, Vicki Hoban, larry Woodcock & Rex Conner are denied.
6/14/23 Update: Back in court for Vallow for a motion for new trial hearing on 6/15/23.

5/12/23 Update: The Maricopa County Attorney's Office (MCAO) has reviewed submitted charges for matters involving Vallow that occurred in Chandler, AZ on 7/11/19 & Gilbert, AZ on 10/2/19. MCAO has made the state of Idaho aware of our intent to prosecute the defendant in Arizona for charges stemming from these submittals. After the defendant is sentenced & transferred to the Idaho Dept. of Corrections, at the request MCAO, the extradition process will begin. The extradition can take from several weeks to several months. Because this is a pending matter, this office will not provide any further comment, including any charging decisions made by this office. Maricopa County Attorney's Office Deputy Chief of Staff said: If Lori Vallow Daybell ends up appealing her conviction — which wouldn't happen until after sentencing — it won't affect the Arizona extradition.
5/14/23: According to Arizona criminal code 13-751 (F) (1) Vallow could be eligible for the death penalty based on her convictions of first degree murders in Idaho. Following the verdict, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office announced that they have submitted a request to extradite Vallow to Arizona, where she is facing charges of conspiracy to commit 1st degree murder in the death of her previous husband Charles Vallow & the attempted murder of Brandon Boudreaux, who was married to her niece. Vallow was indicted (2/24/22) by a grand jury in Maricopa County for conspiracy to commit 1st degree murder of Brandon Boudreaux. Vallow was indicted (6/24/21) for Charles’ conspiracy to commit 1st degree murder.
5/17/23: Order (023) entered by Court. Order (SDO) to seal documents. Note: Order filing State's Motion for permission to unseal indictment. Court site updated criminal charges to: 1st degree premeditated murder.
