Why does the term "Family Annihilator" usually refer to men?

Historical the data probably shows more men than women kill their families. But there’s also the outdated notion that all mothers love and protect their children. Some still find it hard to believe that a mother could harm a child despite the fact that we see it over and over again. .

Has she not been receiving medication so far od did she just start refusing it? Maybe it's a different treatment than before.

I'm thinking she's just now seeing some unwanted side effects of the medication. We know how important body image and appearances are to her (remember the Jolly Rancher lipstick at the Court hearing?). Such medications have been known to cause weight gain. That would be a deal breaker for her. (IMO)
